Good to see a french restaurant trying something different in Eugene but the dishes were so heavily over salted as to make some unpleasant. Not just our conclusion but the people sitting next to us said the same. Service was efficient and pleasant.
Last night we were pleasantly surprised to find this incredible restaurant. The Food was delicious & innovative. The service was just the best. Although not an inexpensive restaurant it was worth every penny! We will definitely return to this little jewel in Eugene!
What a nice Fresh bistro! Drink are definitely fancy and lovely taste! And of course they have their own idea about food and obviously delicious! Also nice environment that you can relax with your friends here and nice service too. Definitely look to come back again??. Probably it’s the best restaurant in Eugene:)
Phenomenal dining experience. Perfectly cooked steak. I ordered 3 of the "Guaranteed Best Seller" cocktails because they were so utterly delicious. I never do that.
Having dined in many five-star restaurants, we were stunned at the quality of the food at this small French Bistro. The cocktails alone were worth the trip. Food was flavored to near perfection, served at the best temperature...with fast service! We had escargot, seared scallops, duck confit with sausage, seasonal vegetables, and a lighter than air pavlova for desert. We had two servers, Madeline and Molly who were very attentive and friendly. The walls are covered with vintage French food and wine posters which provides great atmosphere. Only downsides: No bread served with meal. A bit chilly where we sat.
If you're looking for beautiful flavors in a comfortable environment, don't hesitate to try Bar Purlieu. My wife and I went on a whim for a date night and we just couldn't stop eating. Excellent, friendly, and well-timed service as well. I don't have a bad word to say about this place, go eat there and get a cocktail while you're at it!
We stopped in Eugene overnight for our road trip and found Bar Purlieu on the top rated list on google map. As previous reviewers mentioned, the food, ambience, and cocktails were excellent, will definitely visit again if we ever come back to the area.
Delicious food. Beautifully plated. Excellent service! All of it surpassed our expectations. Fine dining that puts Marche to shame!!

My favorite restaurant in town - I come here at least once a month, usually twice, and I almost always go with the tasting menu. I’ve had some of the best dishes of my life from the tasting menu and it’s different every time I’ve gone in, even when it was just a week between visits.The staff and ownership are top tier, always responsive, friendly, and attentive. When having the tasting menu, staff/ownership have almost always how we felt about dishes we didn’t finish, even when the place was busy. You can tell they really care about their food. I download the Tock app literally just to be able to make reservations here and haven’t used it for anywhere else.Seriously, treat yourself to this cozy, culinary paradise. You won’t regret it.
