We came here after the Butte to Butte Run. They have a lot food items on their menu, mostly small stuff you’d expect at a coffee shop. My friend asked to order some breakfast sandwiches and the employee told her “We aren’t a restaurant. I’m not set up for this. If you want to order food you should go downstairs because they are a restaurant.” She politely asked what else they had and he said “we have a few breakfast burritos but I don’t know how long they’ve been in there, the other employees defrosted them”. He eventually provides what food they had but was fairy snappy about the whole process. I ordered a “special” coffee they were advertising and they were out of that as well. He wasn’t very happy about his “tips” either and made that fairy obvious. There are many ways to deal with low stock for the day but treating the customer we poorly is probably not the best option. All of this happened at 9am.
I don't see why this place only 3.3 stars.....I get breves their occasionally and it's some of the best tasting espresso drink I've had in eugene. Plus they use umpqua dairy for their drinks which is a huge plus.
I've been in several times. The drinks are delicious and everyone has always been very friendly!
Have gone here twice, and both times there was only a single barista working. This has meant long wait times, but the first time the drinks were worth the wait. The second time I was extremely disappointed. One of their specials, a $3.50 "mulled spiced cider" was just a packet of alpine apple cider. I watched her dump it into a cup and add hot water, and it tasted exactly how you'd expect it to.I also asked if a previous special was still available; an amazing spicy Mayan hot chocolate made from a powder which they sell. I was told that it was still available, but I got a very weak normal hot chocolate instead.
Went in to buy a bag of coffee beans. Barista was lively, friendly, helpful, informative and good at multi tasking and helping multiple customers at once. Although I didn't see any other employees in the building she seemed like she had everything under control enjoyed her job.
I work in the 5th Street Market and I can’t tell you how many times the people working there are either on their phones or not paying attention. Then, when they do see you and come to help, they seem to act like you’re a bother. Rarely a smile. Having been in hospitality for 10 years (I have owned a restaurant) I can’t tell you how much this irks me. Try harder.
Layne is the absolute BEST barista ever!!! She was so so sweet and kind, and I had a great experience with her. Thank you for the best honey oat milk latte!!!
