Wow this place is tasty. 1st time here. Wife and I each got the Gyro Pita. These bad boys were STUFFED. I thought for sure the pita was going to break and I’d have sauce running down my shirt, but no- these pitas are made strong. It was so damn good. We also got the Baklava… I’m going to need it injected straight into my veins from now on. It’s dang good. 100 stars if I could.
So good! The gyro was about twice the size of my hand! My husband and I got a gyro pita each and baklava to split. I should have gotten the jr one since the gyros here are huge!Best food for a good price! It was $22 without tip, and more then filling!I am still dreaming about the baklava it was delicious and fresh.
Excellent quality food and a fun healthy environment. Vegetarian food is available as well as traditional middle eastern meat dishes. Albee is a great guy!!
Gyros we’re sub-par. Meat is over salted, pitas we’re stale, very stingy with feta and tzatziki.Additionally employees were unfamiliar with ingredients and couldn’t reliably accommodate allergy concerns.
I ordered the falafel pita. It comes with all the yummy complements such as olives, lettuce, and tomatoes. The pita was soft and held together nicely. The falafel was crispy on the outside and fluffy and creamy in the middle. The flavors were on point. I'll definitely be going back.
Haven’t had falafels in awhile so I thought I’d check them out. Little busy when I went the service was great and they were quick despite the line.Really enjoyed the food and will be back. (Falafel salad pictured)
Always consistent food and service. The location on 18th is the only one that has the Empire Fries and they are a deal breaker for us. The gyros are good, I love the baklava, and if you want a good hot dog this is the place. Great selection of vintage sodas too. My only bone of contention is that I don't think I have ever seen a female working there in 10+ years and I don't understand that.
Dropped by after leaving the airport because I wanted a quick bite and was craving a lamb gyro. Not going to lie, I've really really missed east coast style gyros and Albee's was everything I wanted and more. The guys there were super friendly too! Got the loaded fries as well, and they were to DIE for. And they had Cheerwine (and lots of other bottle sodas) which made my day! You won't find pickles on these gyros thank goodness!
Update: Been awhile since I went in. It is just as good. Friendly staff that give everyone good service. The baklava is the best and fresh not soggy.Old review: Super yummy totally worth a stop
Generally I don't trust anyone from Queens who isn't a Mets fan, but Albee's has great gyros and falafel, we're very glad to have them in the neighborhood.
