I hate rating places poorly, but this place was brutally bad. Two stars because the server was nice and they technically served edible food. Hate to say it but I got sick as well as the person I was with. My food tasted dry as if it had been cooked previously and reheated. I'm really not picky, but I stopped eating after one bite because it seemed sketchy. Everything was very dirty in the restaurant, including the silverware and the station where you pay. The bathrooms were really dirty and unpleasant to be in. The menu was huge, and I don't understand how this place can support that large of a menu and keep everything fresh. Best of luck to them.. hopefully they clean things up and start serving fresher food.
This small, unpretentious place surprised me. I really enjoyed the meal. They are quick to serve water when you are seated, soup follows shortly after. The egg drop soup is some of the best I've had. I have learned that asking for a little spice is too much for me. A little hot for them is nose-running hot for me. Spicy but still delicious, i ate every drop while hanging on to 6 napkins.
Just ordered for the first time tonight. This is some tasty food! We got delivery (which is in-house) and our dinner arrived nice and hot. The Szechuan style pork trotters really stood out! I also enjoyed the green beans with minced garlic sauce. The beans were still a bit crunchy and balanced the heat from the other dishes. Will be ordering again!
We ordered the RN11 Rice Stick. For the very few who are allergic to eggs- it contains eggs, which is not described in their undescriptive online menu. I did not eat it once discovered, removed it entirely from my dish, but still had a reaction. 1 star. The Chinese side of my family gave the same dish 4 stars, but "not as good as homemade" for a total of 2 stars.
Stopped here for lunch. The pig intestines are made in authentic Chinese way. They also do fried meat skewers on certain days of the week.
Not eating here again. Enough chances have been given. They advertise their restaurant as true authentic Chinese food yet when you order the house lo mein you get instant ramen quality noodles.. mostly cut up into bits... and with a fork to eat it with of course. Tastes bad to mediocre.Possibly they make the food based on their perception and prejudice towards the customer upon seeing them.Only deal that seemed decent was the lunch special but it's made inconsistently spicy. Sometimes 4x as spicy as the last time. They also leave the lunch special sign out after lunch has past.
Way over priced for the quality (not a shred of crab in the crab puffs). The egg rolls Walmart sells in the freezer section are bigger, better tasting & half the price for twice as many. First and last visit for my family.
The best Chinese food around the Salem area. The miso soup is perfect, the sweet-and-sour chicken tastes crunchy and fresh instead of microwaved, the veggies are very fresh and are seasoned just the right amount, almost everything on their large menu is perfection. The food is a bit pricey, but the serving sizes are huge, so order a few things for some friends and share.Honestly, after eating several different meals here, most other Chinese food tastes cheap and rushed in comparison.
The main problem I had with my order was that the pork had a very off flavor (freezer burn?) that made it so unpalatable that I wasn't able to eat it. I shared my husbands beef soup instead, which was marginally better, but it still lacked flavor, was overly fatty, and had tough meat. I won't be going back. There are other authentic Chinese restaurants in Corvallis with better flavor and fresher ingredients.
Got delivery. The sesame chicken was literally just fried chicken bits in broccoli beef sauce. The noodles were undercooked, and tasted like they had been sitting on a shelf for a long time, rancid and dusty. Nobody was satisfied with what they got. First time. Won't be returning.
