They have great food here, the nachos are the best I’ve had around the area! The outdoor seating is very nice and it’s very easy to order food, you just walk up to the bar and order food + drinks, then wait at a table with your number and they bring it out to you. Staff have always been super friendly and accommodating. Great drinks as well! The Brass Monkey drink was great. Definitely worth checking this place out!
Perfect for what ya need. We stopped in before a wedding we were in town for, my BF used to go to school in town so we haven’t been back in forever. Love to see the cute little changes to the street. So cute, so fast. Great fries
Great little spot! I was waiting for dinner and a movie with friends in Corvallis, couldn’t wait (got hangry) and so I waltzed into the Brass Monkey downtown. I’m so glad I did. The place was great and the food was amazing. I ordered pork nachos and a margarita. I asked if there was a spicier hot sauce available, was given a habanero tincture from the bar (I put it in both the margarita and the nachos)… and it was delish! Will be back to try the ahi poke and the pork belly next time ? totally worth the detour. And yes, I did eat dinner twice yesterday ??♀️ It happens!
The food was basically inedible. We got the chicken and waffles and the cornbread balls. The chicken and waffles was obviously pre cooked and then microwaved. The chicken had that burnt bones smell and was charcoal under the batter . The waffles were stale . Cornbread balls were raw on the inside. I’m actually surprised we didn’t get the squirts , so that positive. Service was good The high chair had no belts and was super unsafe . Overall I had a great first Father’s Day !!
This place was pretty good! I have had the veggie burger, which was delicious and the Chicken tacos too! The fish and chips I would definitely rank 3 out of 4. It was over cooked and the drink, volcano, was mediocre at best. That being said, the staff is phenomenal and the atmosphere as well. Also, they have an amazing bar with a great selection of whiskey!
Brass Monkey is one of my favourite Corvallis restaurants. Food and beer menu are both excellent. I’ve docked a star because I find their Caesar salad to be too anchovy-y and they are often out of items (the fish and chips in particular).
I had the vegan chili and fries. Both were delicious, especially the fries! Also had the zinger cocktail, which I definitely recommend! It's sour with just a hint of spice. The environment of the restaurant is eclectic and unique, but there is little seating available so be prepared if you have a group!
Probably one of the best Cobb salads I've ever had!
Hey, you really don't want to miss the chance to eat and/or drink here.Wings? Big, juicy, FANTASTIC house-made buffalo and ranch.Corn fritters? Fluffy, crunchy, flavorful, great dipping sauce.Tacos? Dang good! Simple, Mexican style with a lot of flavor.Beer menu? On the short side, but all winners.Prices? Better than decent!
Surprisingly good food! Stout tap was good. Good bar service from slow afternoon hours staff. The bathroom with “watch yourself in mirror toilet seat with bonus observer company chair” is unique and nope, did not bring a wingman to watch.
