Juice Bar & Smoothies Acai Bowls

Ordered via Uber eats; maybe it's better dine-in but to-go was definitely not good and not worth it.We ordered the kitchen sink, caprese and smoothies. Salads came with onions and bacon even though I requested without, not ok if you're a vegetarian. The kale in the salad was raw.. who eats raw kale?? Our bodies can't even extract nutrients this way. I'm not saying cook the kale, but it has to at least be massaged. The caprese sandwich was sad (considering it's $9)And smoothies were just super sweet juice and very liquidy, we actually didn't even finish them.Disappointing, especially for the price. Won't order again

This place was good when it first opened, but there is a reason my review is similar to others on the quality. They raised the prices and it’s not worth it. The service is great and they are very nice but the food is inconsistent. I’ve had several problems ordering acai bowls, one time it did not have GF granola when it was ordered or the fact that I am using a straw to eat my bowl because it is a smoothie with ice bits. Just not really worth it, especially when you’re not receiving what you paid for. Also:The last time I went they told us they weren’t doing avocado toast (whatever that means) after trying to order it, so we ordered the banana bread and found AVOCADO on the banana bread. It almost felt intentional.

I've given Pollen several tries and I gotta say, it's just not worth it. On almost every occasion, my smoothie or bowl have huge chunks of frozen unblended fruit in them, toppings are scarce or inconsistent, and the price just makes it a poor value altogether. It's a bummer as this is the only place on Monroe that has smoothies, but it seems that the bar is set pretty low here.

Update: took a star off for inconsistency. Returned and got the same toast & it came out w ~a quarter of the toppings it had beforeThe people that work here are very kind and the food is absolutely delicious. Relaxing spot.

For the amount paid for the avocado toast, I expected it to be at least served with a plate to enjoy and not in a to go box. Overall it tasted good. Having coffee made to order is also better than just cold brews..

Not worth the price! If you’re going to locate yourself right next to campus, you should be able to offer affordable prices to students. It’s not that hard to offer a 10% student discount when you’re literally right next a university with broke college students and you’re out here charging over $7 for some avocados on toast.Pretty much only rich people go here to take pictures of the place and food, that’s what you’re paying for, *the aesthetic*

POLLEN I LOVE YOU!!!!Pollen has become my new obsession and I am especially happy when Laura or Madison (the owners!) are behind the counter. Laura genuinely asks how school is going, and seems to know every single person by name and order that comes in.The people that work here are honestly the best. I always feel welcome. They have the most delicious food near campus, and it's all super affordable. Only $7 for avocado toast?!! Yes pleeeeeease! They have 2 sizes available for all of their bowls and they are JAM PACKED with only good stuff. I love that they don't use any dairy. They also put on a number of events for the community and support local artists/vendors. (Their sister painted the massive bee in the front!)thanks Superfood fairies!!!PS - LOL at the reviews from snarky, skinny college girls daring to cry over the fact that daddy won't put more money in their accounts to afford to eat off campus. Y'all are hilarious.

Pollen is delicious and nutritious and RIDICULOUSLY fairly priced. Avo toast on the west coast FOR UNDER $10?!?!I love to add the bacon and Mama Laura’s balsamic drizzle to their Avo toast. I get the stinger with Blue Spirulina. Thanks for keeping me well fed Pollen people!

Healthy delicious place to grab some breakfast or lunch. Tasty! ?

I love Pollen. These women know good food.Upon entering, you are hit with an incredibly chiq and cozy design. You are then greeted with a “hi! Welcome in!” Their staff are genuine and their food delicious. I had the pleasure of being helped by Laura, one of the owners. Laura was kind and made me laugh. Their food options as far as dietary restrictions are incredible. Gluten free, vegan, dairy free, it’s incredible! They cater to the environment using recyclable products that can be returned back to the earth - it’s crazy that people want to complain about this in this day and age. Thank you for making the choice to protect the planet!Their smoothies are thick and packed with fruit (no syrup or ice cream are you KIDDING?!) Their avocado toast is legendary, and their soup of the day always delivers.Thank you to Mary who handed me my food as soon as it was ready - i ordered the Regular Stinger, a Regular Nectar, Chicken Tortilla Soup and an Avo toast. Everything came out in less than 10 minutes with a line. Everyone was so kind, and the atmosphere was so happy.10 stars pollen! Will be back daily between classes :)
