I’ve never been to Jamaica or had big city quality Jamaican food so I don’t feel I can critique Jerk Kings from that angle. But as far as THE BEST FREAKING FOOD TRUCK EVER, this was it! Writing this review almost a year after they closed, simply because if they ever reopen you MUST GO. My one and only dish ever ordered was the coconut rice with jerked chicken bowl, *with extra sauce. Still shaking my head over the fact that this dish was so good I even willingly ate Okra (blech)! The savory flavors with a hint of sweet and just the right amount of warm slow burn were truly spectacular. Back in the (earlier) day when they did a huge bowl for $12, the Hub and I would share it, happily. Then they switched to smaller bowls for $11 and it was still jam-packed with goodness. Truly, this is one of those unique taste experiences that I’m afraid aren’t reproducible. Thank you, Jerk Kings—I’ll be dreaming of you! ???
A fantastic food truck! Was able to get a delicious rice bowl and enjoy a great beer at the neighboring brewery. Definitely worth trying out.
Wow. Thankfully they moved to Bend, so I had a chance to try this food truck. By far the best Caribbean style food I've ever had. And for the price to portion is extremely valuable. Delectable food. Still looking my chops.
What do I have to say about their sauces? DGP. Darn Good Product.
Were there yesterday and was advised, that in spite of the success of this organization, that they were closing down as of 30 September to "pursue other opportunities" Too bad because the food here was unusual and very good.
My wife and I tried this place a couple of times while in town, it’s SO GOOD! We had the Caribbean Bowls (I had chicken, my wife had shrimp), damn...! We’ve never tried Jerk before, the Kings opened our eyes to it. Just go, you won’t be disappointed.
