This place was AMAZING! The drink where delicious and perfect for what I was looking for. We also got pretzels and pot pies and they where SO good! The pot pies where rich, creamy, and delicious. The pretzels where the perfect appetizers. The atmosphere was also good. It is small and cozy giving a English pub vibe. Overall this place was great and hope to come back again soon.
Can we keep this spot a secret? Step back in time to Ye Olde English Pub. Grab a book and a dimly lit corner, just bright enough to read, and enjoy some of the best cask beer you've ever had. Lightly thematic but not cheesy or pretentious, this may be my new spot. They also have meat pies for sale. Cask beer and meat pies. Beautiful. Staff is great, too. This might be my new "spot".
Love the place. It has a quiet atmosphere, as I prefer. Really reminds me of a local British town pub, which is the plan. Menu is limited but the food is good, and the beer is great! So nice to find a place in Bend that has more than just 10 IPA options. The only downside, in my eyes, is people who think it is appropriate to bring their young children into a quiet bar and let them run around. The place is tiny and quiet, and I don't go there to listen to your kids - plenty of far more family-friendly options out there. Maybe I'm just a crotchety old geezer but it seems wrong to me.
Took us a couple of tries to get here due to some staffing issues, but well worth the wait! Awesome to find a brewpub that is cask only. Enjoyed every one of the beers on tap, but would say the ESB and porter and Scottish ale are in our top 3. Also highly recommend the pies. Scottish meat pie in particular. No wait... the IPA is the best.Or is it the pale mild?
Amazing! Simple beer list, served from cask and brewed by Porter Brewing. The stout I enjoyed was a classic example, delicious and perfectly to style. There was plenty of seating when we visited but the space is small and could easily fill up quickly.
Great spot for an imperial pint of tasty beer. Love the location and the staff are always so nice. Haven't had a shepherd's pie yet but my friends love them.
If you enjoy true craft beer as it was intended, the Cellar is the perfect place. They have real beer engines pulling from casks that CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ales) would be proud of. All of them shipped from England. Cozy atmosphere.
Excellent cellar temp beers if your an old style Porter and Stout lover like me. Old style pub like atmosphere.Courtney is great to visit with! I'll be back to try the pies as well.
We just stumbled upon The Cellar as we were walking around downtown and really fell in love with this cozy little place. It has such warm and welcoming feel to it, like a speakeasy basement bar with an English pub charm. If you're like me and tired of all the brewpubs with five different IPAs but nothing dark, smooth and malty, then you'll love their selection of beers. Top quality porters, stouts and red ales. The meat pies were delicious as well. They do take a while, so don't expect a quick bite, instead, settle in with good beer, good company and enjoy the charm as you wait for your food.
Best cask beer, pot pies, and soft pretzels! All the staff here has been so friendly and kind. A hidden gem for sure!
