You can enjoy their Buffett or order of the menu either way you will love the food here. The service is very friendly also. Almost completely gluten free. Can be a tad spicy so if you don't like spice make sure you ask questions. We eat here often because the food is authentic and cultured. Highly recommend and be open to trying everything on the menu. Especially loved the lamb dishes.
We are thrilled Taj has relocated to the southeast side of bend. We’ve been twice in the past week. Looking forward to many more delicious culinary adventures here. The hospitality is refreshingly pleasant and friendly as well as skilled in the art of excellent service. And, the variety of their menu is impressive. We’ve had both the lunch buffet and ordered off the menu. Friday and Saturday is the dinner buffet. I know what I’m doing this weekend!! If you didn’t get a chance to enjoy their delicious exotic food and good company downtown (there’s now plenty of off street parking in their lot!!!), now is your chance to discover these fine people and the cuisine. I mentioned how varied the choices are to one of the staff, and he smiled and informed me that the entrees change every weekend! My oh my I have a lot of ground to cover here. The parking lot was packed, but there’s plenty, restaurant was very busy at 6:00, and still a few booths available so there’s lots of room here. I watched as walk-ins of 5, 7, 10 were quickly seated. Staff greeted patrons and 90% of customers were repeat patrons and treated like family. It’s so nice to see this kind of hospitality. Food was deeeeeeeelishiussss. They also have a bustling take out. Doesn’t that sound awesome???? I’ll try this next. So far I have only wonderful things to say about Taj Palace. Consistently a delightful experience.
really good take out. i ordered the chicken curry extra spicy and garlic naan and was so blown away i got it for lunch again the next day with my partner. he got the spinach daal curry (vegan) and mixed vegetable pakora and loved his too. portion sizing is ok but definitely worth every penny.
Premier place for Indian cuisine in Bend. Excellent food, friendly service, moderately priced. Love this restaurant.
The food was delicious and the staff was so nice. The Mango Lassi was the perfect sweet treat. Can’t wait to go back!
My husband and I have been to Taj Palace Indian Cuisine twice, and we left the restaurant highly impressed both times.One thing that has stood out to me most on both of our visits is how attentive and kind the wait staff are. We have not been left without a refill long at all, and the food comes out actually hot, rather than it sitting in the heating window for any length of time.On our last visit, we ordered the mixed vegetable pakora as our appetizer (picture included). The dish was flavorful enough on its own and so crispy, but the three sauces they provided really blew it out of the wayer. Delicious! Both of us ordered Thali Dinners: I chose the Lamb Kurma (picture attached) and my husband decided on the Lamb Biryani. They bring you a hefty amount of food with the dinners; both of us had leftovers that we took home. The dinners also came with a little mango dessert that was the perfect end to the meal.Prices were quite reasonable. We both had an alcoholic beverage a piece as well, and our total (with tip) came to around $60. Not bad! Definitely stop in for a meal if you're ever in the area!

Delicious Indian cuisine and great service!I am from Hillsboro Oregon, and we are known for the Indian cuisine. This place is just as good, if not better than some of my local restaurants.The waiter was very kind, polite, and friendly.Best birthday dinner I've had in a while, and we are definitely coming back on our next Bend visit!
The Indian restaurant raj palace was amazing ,the people over there was friendly and serves food with love and the food was mind boggling they bought Indian flavour to bend
