Saw the place on DDD! Our group of 9, we all agree our orders were delicious. Thankful there was gluten-free options, and it was super cool to meet Dave.
The bagels were amazing. The Clogger with egg on a jalapeno bagel was just the perfect combo. Great flavor profile. It is a must when in Bend.
Rockin' Dave's will always be one of our favorites, it's's a true hidden gem! The new lounge has a really cool vibe and so nice it adds some extra room for indoor seating. The bloody mary selection is so good with several different house infused vodka options. You can't go wrong ordering anything, it's all so good and fresh! Our favorite though is always The Clogger on a bacon cheddar bagel with garlic cream cheese, and a side of gravy for dipping! Best bagels hands down! ?
Honestly I love this place. I get the same thing every time, Jump Start add Bacon on whatever bagel they have that I like. I got one the other day, and there was no bacon even though I paid for it (it’s like $3 more to add bacon) so I called and let them know hey you forgot the bacon just wanted to let you know, and the person on the phone was nice enough to give me a gift card for the amount of a new sandwich. Couple days go by, and I decide to get my free sandwich! Super excited, then my girlfriend calls me as I’m about to go pick it up, she needs a ride to ER because her nose was broken. So I did what any good boyfriend would do and dropped everything to take her in. I had to call in and cancel my sandwich order unfortunately. This is where it gets unsettling. The man on the phone didn’t care what I had going on, he was obviously upset/mad at me because the sandwich was made. I understand the severity of waste and food cost but he was flat out rude about it and when I asked if I’d still be able to get my replacement in the future, he hesitated and finally said “I guess.” Cool, fine, whatever. Now today I called to get my replacement. What do you know, there’s no more gift card there and he has to ask around the shop to see if anyone knew of my situation. Luckily someone did and I finally got my order in. I went to pick it up and the man at the window was flat out looked unhappy to be serving me and when I said “thank you I appreciate it” Al I got back was a “yep” and a window slammed in my face. If you’re that unhappy where you work maybe don’t work there. Wonderful food, aggravating service.
I'm really torn about leaving this review. I've really enjoyed the food here, so on the pure food taste part of the review this would be higher. However, the quality of care and accuracy has really plummeted... my last 3 visits took over 20 minutes to get my order (for to go) and they've all managed to be wrong. My last visit I ordered a burrito and asked for no onion and really emphasized this because I tend to have a mild allergic reaction to them. I got my burrito and didn't check it until I got home and it was stuffed with onions... I was so sad because the burrito looked amazing and covered in gravy but I couldn't even eat it.
There are so many brunch spots in Bend, and I don’t do brunch often... But when I do, I always end up at Rockin’ Dave’s! Service and food is always amazing. I’m currently on crutches with a broken foot, today I hobbled in and the staff was super friendly/accommodating to my situation. The owner Dave was making his rounds and conversing with diners, something that makes this place feel so cozy. As a born and raised local, it’s always so nice to enjoy yummy food and drinks and feel right at home instead of feeling rushed and crowded like I do at other restaurants here in Bend. Also, both their bagels and bloody Mary’s are to die for!
Food is excellent but customer service is terrible! The owner is great but the girls that work the front are unwelcoming especially the one with the short brown hair. They seem annoyed to have customers. I've been here twice in the last week and have had the same experience. Unfortunately I won't be going back here. I would rather spend my money somewhere where I can be appreciated as a customer, like I show them the appreciation for what they do.
Was a nice small diner. Good selection of bagels. Very friendly and upbeat. Looking forward to returning.
Pardon the cliché, but this place rocks! The bagels and service are excellent, and they serve the kind of coffee that would make you cheat on your partner. The cocktails are good, not great, and the parking can be a problem on the weekend, but this is the place to go for a great bagel-breakfast.
We were passing through bend and needed a pitstop. Looked up Triple D recommends and this place was it. A cute and funky place with easy access. We stopped at 1 and they close at 2 so it was fairly empty. I had the Jerk Chicken Bowl which I highly recommend. I was unsure about all of the options on it but it was delish! Husband got the pastrami sandwich which he said was also great. They also have lots of vegan and gluten free options if that's your thing. Totally recommend stopping here.
