Awesome food and drinks. I love the atmosphere.

Really good asian fusion food (we got fried chicken, duck red curry, and an off menu shrimp bun - all very tasty, especially the chicken with large portions), fun ambience, and classic tiki bar cocktails. What's not to love?

We had a little surprise birthday dinner at Rapa Nui last night and it was great! The decor is amazing and food was delicious. Our waitress (curly hair) was super friendly and didn't bat an eye when we brought 3 teenagers with us and ordered only non-alcoholic drinks. We're already planning a return visit! :)

The fried chicken was great. We also liked the Korean ribs and Jerk chicken. Fun place with good music and atmosphere. The drinks were a bit pricy and the loco moco (sadly) isn’t on the menu anymore.

We have been several times, the overall service and the food has improved since COVID. We brought our friend from Hawaii here for cocktails and dinner for the experience, they kindly brought out a birthday shot that was super yummy. We tried multiple dishes, the fried chicken was amazing, the poke was very good… however it could of used a bit more poke, the ribs were also very tasty and cooked just right. We love the tasty crafty cocktails options, I do recommend adding a couple more cocktails that can be made with vodka or as a substitute for non-rum lovers like myself. Overall, it was a great experience and we look forward to going back again soon! Our server, which we have had before, she has curly hair, I wish I remembered her name, she was fantastic and super attentive! ?♥️??

Great tiki bar. The decor is spot on and the drinks are fantastic. We shared the monkey brains drink and enjoyed it a lot. Waitress was great too and made sure we had everything we needed. Patio looked adorable and if not for the 25 degree weather we’d of checked it out! Food looks good but we didn’t get a chance to try any. Next time! Bend needs a great tiki bar and this is definitely it.

This place is amazing! We came here for dinner as a family and the food was amazing, the service was great and they made fancy no alcohol drinks for our kids. I haven’t even gotten to the decor…. The tiki theme is really cool and there is a lot of attention to detail. We had bao buns, jerk chicken, loco moco, and tuna poke. All dishes were really well prepared and delicious. Highly recommend.

Amazing drinks and people. Now days this is hard to find.

Great place fun to have a get together

I finally had the opportunity to visit Rapa Nui in Bend, and I was thoroughly impressed by the decor, cocktails, and overall sincerety of the place. In spite of being on the second floor of a warehouse-style building, the bar does a great job of creating a lush, comfortable atmosphere. In contrast to some of the tiny, cramped tiki bars on my favorites list, Rapa Nui gambled on a larger space that feels expansive without seeming sparse, and it's varigated enough to provide cozy nooks and crannies for parties of any size. It's not easy dropping a tiki bar into a blank industrial space and giving it the sort of lived-in feel that we're used to in more mature establishments. While it does still feel clean and new, without decades of dust and detritus, Rapa Nui does a good job of staying true to the tiki aesthetic and providing a thoroughly tropical escape. The cocktail menu includes a good variety of the standards, with some signature variations. I neglected to order a Mai Tai, which is my standard test of a tiki bar's cocktail program, an omission I'll correct on my next visit. Instead, I opted for the Island Old Fashioned, which was flavorful and superb for someone who tries to avoid a lot of citrus, and the Jungle Bird, which was delightfully Campari-forward. Not everyone's going to appreciate the added bitterness, but as a fan of dry/bitter drinks, I really liked it. When I mentioned it to Anna, the bar manager, she replied that it was an intentional choice to differentiate their version from the standard. It's a bold choice that I applaud. I can't comment on the food, since we had just come from dinner and didn't order any bites, but I'm looking forward to giving more of the menu a try on future visits. For such a young bar, Rapa Nui hits all the right notes, and it's only going to get better with age. I don't expect to get to Bend very often, but when I do, another longer visit to this tropical paradise will definitely be on the itinerary.
