Went to Mosse Sisters for a birthday lunch, the food was good, BUT when I found a cotter pin in my fish taco, the waitress accused me of trying to plant it and getting a free meal. Think they need to check their ovens, salamanders, and deep fryers, for missing parts because it was not planted and was not looking for a free meal because my meal was already paid for. The party I was with will not be going back because of the accusations, management never even came over to apologize or ask or anything about what happened, the waitress was rude when we checkedout. So sad because the first experience there was great and we're going to recommend it to all our friends and family.
We were politely greeted by the hostess/ waitress. The cook yelled at the hostess / waitress that she really should ask the cook before seating people. They asked us to hurry and order our food so they could wrap up. I don't usually write bad reviews for establishments but this was likely the worst welcome I've ever received from a restaurant. I feel so very sorry for our server having to deal with what could have been unruly customers. Luckily, we are empathetic to her working conditions. Eh.... The food was good. I made sure to walk past the kitchen just to make sure it wasn't spit in. Won't be back.... EVER.
This was the worst meal I've ever had, not because of the service, which was excellent and attentive (hence the two stars) but because of the quality and freshness of the food. I ordered the daily special soup, corn and chicken chowder, and it had an odd vinegary, sour smell and taste; and the chicken was dry and chewy. So, I sent it back. Then my Crab Louie salad arrived - it was worse! The crab meat smelled fishy and rancid and was served on old brown lettuce and included cucumbers that were soft and mushy. This was my first time dining here and my last. It's unfortunate, because I was looking forward to dining here. But now, I will not be back.
My husband and I went to Moose Sisters 2 nights in a row for dinner…my husband got the prime rib the first night and the portion was insanely generous I had the butternut squash ravioli both nights that’s telling you how delicious it was, is it on the spendier side, yes but I feel like you honestly get what you pay for with quality of food and ingredients. But for the reviews complaining about the price, they have the menus listed online so if you go in and then complain about how expensive it is that’s just crazy to me. We will definitely be back.
Unfortunately, I have to agree with the other reviewers who had a bad experience and both the server and the owner did not care one bit. I will add the word unethical into the mix, which I don't use lightly. My wife and I have been to this restaurant on several occasions and had great food and service. This weekend we were there for a special occasion and went in for a drink. While were were at it we decided to get the steamers and a salad. Two dishes for two people. The server offered to bring out the steamers first and then offered to split the salad into two plates. When the bill came we were surprised for three overcharges.1) Charged $4 for splitting the salad2) My regular martini was $20, which is more than the specialty drinks. My wife's was $16.3) Charged 4% for using a credit card. Our bill was 99.84. $12 of that were excess charges.I know restaurants get hit with the CC charges so I was not really concerned about that, but when I asked the server about the split charge for the salad and the other two charges she said that there was nothing she could do about them. We paid our bill on and on the way out we saw the owner (who we have had conversations with during the night and seemed nice). She said that they charge that if we asked to split a dish. I let her know we did not ask that they do that and she refused to credit us. I also let her know that we were not told there was an added charge. She did not care in the least. She told us if we were not happy there we could go to a downtown restaurant instead.I guess she needs the $4 dollars more than a repeat customer. Shame on the server. Shame on the owner. Unethical to charge for something that was not disclosed or asked for.I gave 2 stars because the food was good, but beware of unscrupulous people. Other reviews have similar experiences. I hope Moose Sisters can get acquainted with customer service again. Used to be a great spot.
Had a very bad meal here. Complained to the waitress. Her response was to clear the table and bring the bill.
Started off with confusion as to which table we were to sit at,( place was not very busy? Finally sat down, ordered dinner and was asked if we wanted table bread, we said yes, couple of minutes later, the bread showed up with about 4 different kinds of bread( almost like they were cleaning out all the left over bread loaves) about 2 minutes later our dinner came, shockingly that soon, and it was cold. Ordered the crab ravioli and got only 5 ravioli, that came out to 6$ per ravioli. We were in and out of there in 35 minutes. Was not a pleasant dining experience at all !!
I enjoyed the prime rib and my wife liked the rice cauliflower bowl but when I got my check and was charged $4.94 for using my card…I will never go back. The sister didn’t think it was a big deal just said it matter of factly.. I have never been to a restaurant with this on my bill!
Had Valentine's Day dinner and it was wonderful. Called day of not expecting to get in, and was surprised to be able too. We had the prime rib (Bend)(Sister) sizes and it was fantastic.
every time I'm in Bend this is my favorite restaurant...never disappointed. I have recommended this restaurant to all my friends.... love it!
