We were visiting from Portland for a weekend gateway in Bend. Found this via the HappyCow app. The menu is amazing. We got jackfruit mac and BLT. The max was delicious creamy and tangy but the BLT was extremely dry. It just had some vegan bacon lettuce and tomatoes. It is a little expensive for 12 bucks for a burrito of that kind.
1st time eating here, read the ratings and wanted to try it myself. Beautiful day, enjoyed the BBQ Mac n cheese. It was delicious! I do not eat pork the BBQ vegan ribs were very tasty!! I'll try the BLT wrap the next time we dine there. It did not disappoint!..
Possibly the best vegan restaurant food I’ve ever had! Even my meat-eater husband was impressed!
AMAZING vegan comfort food that's out if thisworld! The mac and cheese were perfect - not too gooey and not too oily, seasoned just perfectly and went so well with the jackfruit and steamed greens. The BBQ plate was fantastic. The ribs were crazy good - the BBQ sauce, chart, and the texture were all spot on! My hubby and Iabsolutely enjoyed the meal. We took the takeout by the lake and sat in the warm sun with our pup to have a nice pandemic picnic lunch. Our pup did try the mac and cheese and the corn bread and she probably would have eaten the entire darn thing! Four thumbs up absolutely loved the food.
Ara, the gal who was working a few days ago helped me and my girlfriend. She was quick, efficient, and prepared the food wonderfully. She was working solo on a busy afternoon and was able to hold everything down while providing excellent customer service with a smile and positive attitude!! Great experience and great healthy food for the soul, definite recommend! The owners Elliot Sarah are a blessing as well, and the other employees, such as Chris, make the whole experience a treat. Go support a tasty and local business of Central Oregon ❤️
First time, I got the mac and cheese. It was good but not my favorite. However, I'd go back and try something else. They were donating to Ukraine during my visit so give them a shot just for that. Either way it's awesome to have more vegan options!
Thanks for lunch todayRibs... Cold and dipped in thick cold bbq sauce.... Over a bed of ripple potatoes chips.... Why?Why not hot over bed of rice. .... Much more desirable.Chik'n seitan macVery dry and burnt breading... I ordered it without sauce. Why not use some extra virgin olive oil to fry it with flavor?Just a few thoughtsReplyIf you have new employees you would think you the owner would be there with them to train them properly how to cook the food after reviewingThe reviews From the lowest review I was surprised to read what people said. Please work on not defending your food but think about how to make customers estatic over your food. Will these two picture help you decide if it should be fixed or not?
Every time we’re in Bend, OR we make sure to hit this place - their BBQ and Mac plates are INSANE! Pictured is their buffalo mac and a BBQ plate (ribz, more mac, baked beans, greens, and cornbread) - the mac and ribz were flavorful and had a tasty texture but the beans were a bit under and not our favorite! I’m a huge fan of cornbread and while this had a great cornbread flavor, the texture was a bit too crumbly. 10/10 worth a stop for vegan eats!
I highly recommend the BLT wrap. Great customer service and the food was fabulous.
For being a meat lover, I had their vegan Mac and cheese with jackfruit ribs, it was really good. They did a great job, the jackfruit had the same consistency as pork, couldn't really tell the difference there. And the Mac and cheese was a bit on the salty side, but it was creamy and cooked just right. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is my stomach decided to throw a big ol fit with indigestion after I was done.
