Holy Smokes! This place is no joke! So much food! If you order the Jake's long haul you better come seriously hungry. They make amazing biscuits from scratch and you better pull up a trailer for that chicken fried steak. I haven't had a meal this big in a long time and EVERYTHING was good. Eggs over medium? Perfect, scratch biscuits and gravy? Incredible! You must make this place a destination.
This was the best way to start the day. When my wife and I first came in and sat down we got drinks super fast and our waitress informed us there was an 18 person baseball team in the back so our food may take a bit, only took them about 30 minutes to crank everything out. My wife had the chicken fried steak which was moist and well seasoned, I had the bunkhouse breakfast which was comfort food at its best. The hash browns were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the eggs were fluffy, the bell peppers and onion had a great flavor and the ham tasted like it was smoked that morning. And it was all covered in thick country gravy. Great service, mouth watering food, and a biker vibe that made us feel like we were back home.
Best food n service since I left louisiana. If you r in the area I highly recommend Jake's Diner. Fast clean n friendly atmosphere.

Wow my first time visiting bend Oregon and we decided to eat here for breakfast before we started to ski. U walk in and amazing and warmth the lady's were smiling at u and welcoming u. Our waitress was amazing so friendly and kind and she helped us pick good food. Omg the food was so so so good lol. And the amount was good. The biscuits and gravy was so good. Thanks u so much for your Great food and amazing smiles and warmth. ??

So this used to be a truck stop joint on edge of town. The food is delicious and portions are huge. I ordered a small portion and when she brought it out I joked about what size the large must be...it filled the dinner plate! Definitely has a great flare and truck stop feel. Our waitress was wonderful and the hot chocolate...amazing! Come on an empty stomach.
Not worth the wait. Waited almost 30 minutes just to get a simple menu item. Food was good. Server was good and attentive. Ran out of beef for sandwiches. Gonna go elsewhere from now on.
