Beware of bait and switch! Yesterday I went in to the Galveston store and said I want to order four Cakes in a Jar. I told the person the flavors for each. She asked if I wanted large or small. I said whatever comes in the Mason jar. She told me both sizes do. So I ordered smalls and was charged $24. When I went to pick them up today I received four cakes in a plastic container that looks like something from McDonalds! I explained to the guy I asked for the cakes in a Mason Jar. He said if you want a mason jar you need to go to the other store. These were to be gifts! So disadisappointed in this place.

I called this bakery two weeks in advance of when I needed the custom cake made. The girl on the phone took down my order and told me they could do it, she told me to email the video instruction details to the owner. I emailed the owner the video and pictures of what I wanted it to look like. It took her several days to get back to me via email. I called several times trying to talk to a person about the details and each time they could not be bothered. After several email correspondence with the owner, which took over a week and a half ( at this point 4 days before I needed the cake) she told me she would not do the design in the video or decorate it according to the video, and that they were to busy with other orders to make time for my cake. She actually said and I quote "I just don't think we could possibly charge enough to make this worth while for the time that would be involved." This would have been fine if this bakery didn't advertise custom cakes, bit they do. Custom cakes mean you make them just like the customer requests not what is easiest and cheapest for the bakery. When paying for custom cakes and reaching out to professional bakers in my mind the custom er expects professional care and time to be taken in the construction of the cake, that is why we are paying higher prices than going to the Walmart bakery or something like that. I finally cancelled my order with Ida's cupcakes, with 4 days until I needed the cake ( starting the process with Ida's a week and a half ago) and contacted the bakers at market of choice, when I showed them the same video and reached out the Baker there she got back to me the next day and told me this cake was simple to make and they would do it no problem, and they could fit me in there schedule with only 4 days until I needed it. I will never use Ida's again, I will always go to market of choice. I know now why this shop is a cupcake shop. I think that's all they can do. Don't asked them for a custom cake even though there website advertises it, this is false advertising! This bakery presents themselves as a professional bakery, but they are amateurs with very poor custom service as well as ride when you try to explain your ideas to them on the phone. If you want a great custom cake go to the bakery at market of choice, they will charge less and do the custom cake you ask for. Ida's cupcakes is a joke of a bakery. Ordered cupcakes for my husband’s birthday when I went in to pick them up your whole Redmond store smelled like there was a gas leak in store. I got a headache right away when I was in there. Then my whole order made me sick
Can’t believe the staff there- completely rude and like to infringe on peoples right. Mask holes through and through- will never support their shop again.
They refuse service to those who don’t wear masks. Regardless if they don’t wear them for medical reasons. Discrimination at its finest. They have lost our business forever after how they treated my wife today.
I really hate to leave a bad review for here but unfortunately after many bad experiences I feel I need to. I have been a long time customer here since they first opened years ago, and we get Idas for every special occasion and holiday, even had them for my wedding. But for the past almost two years now the Redmond location has made a mistake on every single order we’ve made. Either it’s the wrong order, the quantity is wrong, they forget the cupcakes need to be gluten free

We visited the Redmond location! These cupcakes were beautiful looking and great tasting! Lots of fun and yummy flavor options! Everyone in your group will love these!
Cakes are so good, but the design we gave for the wedding cake we ordered did not look like what we requested. Also, barley used the flowers we gave to put on the cake. Wish the decorator would have been honest about not being able to do the design we wanted. Purple photo is of what we wanted, other 2 are what we got.
