Had high hopes but the food is overpriced and undelivered. Likely can get away with it bc theyâre right DT. Also 20 mins after my food came, for the glass of wine to show up and one beverage never came at all. Not terrible food but should knock down prices. A lot of other truly fantastic places in the same $$ range in Bend!
Had a 8:15 reservation to sit outside but didnât get seated until almost 9:15. When we went to order, they were out of the Heirloom Tomato Toast, Caesar Salad, Grilled Prawns, and Oyster Cappellini. So were they out bc we got seated an hour late or already out? Dunno. To be fair, they comped our drinks but the Indefinite Hiatus was so bad, I had to send it back. The Sassy Local tried too hard / spicy. The Oaxaca OF was good. The roasted cauliflower and shrimp cappelini were disappointingly pretty below average for the price. The roasted Brussels were really good. Overall, think they were just having a rough night bc our waitress and the hostess were very apologetic and nice. Definitely happens but we were pretty bummed.
Food was ok but it took over THIRTY minutes to get our drinks after we ordered them, and then NINETY minutes to get our food. Server was doing the best she could given that the timing was not in her control.
Have had birthday here a number of years and had a two year hiatus. Not the same. Favorite bartender long gone. Favorite pork chop meal arrives with all side dishes cold. The go to reheat and it comes back same, and with overcooked pork-chop. Compensated with comping meal but that doesnât make it right. Will admit outdoor dining on that busy corner is nothing like indoor ambiance. Ah well.
We sat outside with a dog and baby on Sunday evening, nice tables but a lot of street noise. Seemed under staffed, service was kind but very slow. Brought the wrong salad and took a while to replace it. Brussel sprouts and fried chicken were great, roasted cauliflower was very bland. Would recommend during a slower time.
Such a great brunch spot! We got the Chicken Sandwich and ricotta donuts. YUM! Did not disappoint. We will be back
The food was underwhelming. I ordered one of the specials of the day, which was a Tombo Tuna With Asian slaw. It was badly overcooked. Even if I have been cooked correctly the flavors were completely uninteresting. There is a lot going on in the restaurant, but the waitstaff Seemed relatively uninterested in us. When they asked us what we thought of the food, they were not looking in our direction and weâre not really interested in what we had to say. This includes our waiter, the manager and the host-person
Drake & Washington have outstanding food & real good service. Our only complaint is, at both, having to yell across the table to have a conversation. Wish they would add some acustic tiles or something to help with noise level. Takes away from a relaxing dinner.
Unfortunately, the management of Drake was lacking the night we visited. We were informed upon sitting down of a few items on the menu that were not available. This is not unusual. However, once everyone ordered our server came back to let us know that some of the items that we had ordered were now no longer available. When we ordered wine, the server came back and said it was unavailable. In all we had five different items we ordered that we ultimately could not get. We felt for the server. She handled it well but it was clear she was uncomfortable having to return so many times to tell us that something had run out. This was for a 7:00 pm dinner so it wasnât so late one might expect things to have run out.
Everything was good except the noise level outside. Too many vehicles on a very busy corner of Wall and Franklin Streets. Young drivers gunning their engines were very annoying. Do not sit on Franklin St.
