I've lived in Bend for over 20 years, and never made it to this landmark -- until last month. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was very good, but I think the notion that this is the best burger in town is a little overblown. I enjoyed the hometown feel, the servers on roller skates, and the car service. I also like the small menu.
Not great, not terrible. The tater tots were quite cold and the onion rings had a strange texture. The chicken strips were a little better but nothing special. Might give another shot for a good old burger and fry.
The amount of salt on the fries made them inedible then I bit into burger and it wasn’t any better just lots of salt. The girl who took the order was awesome. The rest was trash. Threw the food away. I have never tasted something with so much salt in my life. What I could faintly taste wasn’t good anyways. Unless you eat bowls of Morton salt for breakfast I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. What a waste.
Easily the worst food I’ve had in Bend. So salty I had to throw it away.
Limited menu choices. Was hoping for a lettuce wrapped burger option. Good food just not extraordinary.
Love this drive in burger joint - my favorite burger place in town. Portions are big (sometimes too big!). Really tasty standard burger / fries etc, yummy fry sauce. Good chicken sandwich too. The servers are super friendly. Biggest downsides are cash only, and if you arrive at a busy time of day there are not always enough spots to park your car- would be cool if they had a little side window to place a takeout order, but I suppose that might take away from the charm of servers on skates.
Okay most everything about dandy’s is great except the person who cooks the fried food, you continue to burn the fries , chix strips and other items, I get the higher prices but how about you eat your own fried items and see for your self, getting tired of over fried fries that are brown or tan colored. The food is good just lacking some tlc.
They raised their prices and what used to cost me $7.75 is now over $12.00I don’t eat here any longer.
Really good burgers. Definitely a step above regular fast food, but just as convenient & cheap
Burgers are really good. Flies are great. Service is good. I think they have the best burgers in Bend. Very reasonable prices.this is a drive in with car shops on roller skates.
