Liked how spacious it was. Food was a bit on the bland side and when we asked for hot sauce, they gave us the tiniest takeout portions.
We love this place, the food and the staff. We rarely get out to this part of town, but when we do, we often think of eating here.
Up until about a year ago, when I last visited Zab Thai, I would have agreed wholeheartedly that the Beef Noodle Soup was outstanding. In fact, it was my favorite dish and I raved about it to anyone who would listen. Unfortunately, after traveling from NE Portland to pick up 2 orders of the beef soup yesterday, my opinion has changed drastically. Perhaps it's because I ordered my food to go and they thought they could get away with it, but for whatever reason, I have to say the beef soup was beyond disappointing---it was disgusting. These had to be some of the toughest and cheapest cuts of "meat" (I question whether it's actually meat) I have ever come across. As a previous reviewer indicated, Yes, the beef in the Beef Noodle Soup used to be amazingly tender, such that you could probably eat it without chewing. That was not the case with either of my 2 orders yesterday. As you can see in the photos I am sharing, the beef--or, whatever it is, has a tough, rubbery, layer running pretty much throughout. It's not fat, because you can chew through fat. You can even tell by the way it is curled up in the photos below that something is not right. And it's not that there were amazing cuts of beef with a few of these pieces mixed in... This was ALL of the beef. Just look at the consistency and judge for yourself. As for me, I will never order from Zab Thai again. Fool me once, shame on you... Fool me twice...? Not a chance.
Asked for spiciest option for my dish and they did not make it spicy at all. They must have forgot what I ordered. Additionally, was not impressed with the portion sizes for the price
Worst pad se ew ever. Thick slices of veggies. Too much sauce. Chicken was decent but questionable had a weird bite. Soggy noodles. Only people who eats here are stuck in the suburb and never left.
This place is amazing! We found it during a year of travel and have only recently had it again. We figured it wouldn’t be as good as we remember. We are pretty decadent with where we eat these days.Honestly, it is still soooo yummy. I can’t believe it is such a good deal.Best Thai food ever. Thanks!!
Unfriendly service and we’ve eaten at most Thai places in Hillsboro, this was the worst food of all. We had Fried Rice and the House special basil Chicken. For multiple reason we couldn’t eat either dish. Many better options out there.
One of my favorite places to get a steamy hot bowl of soup , the broth Is on point, and the beef is so tender it melts in mouth. From the presentation to the flavor , absolutely incredible. I gave 5 stars because it's so zen inside the restaurant, the customer service is amazing they are very welcoming and very friendly .
This is still my go-to Thai restaurant. The service is good and the food is delicious. We love the House Special Crispy Basil Chicken and their free refills of Thai iced tea.
Excellent food, quick service, easy ordering. Always a pleasure.
