What a down-home little spot right off of TV Hwy in Aloha. Food, service, atmosphere……☑️☑️☑️! Mahalo Sushi Zen!!! ??

We have our favorite places we go to regularly and we are adding this one to the list! Great staff and sushi! We tried some new items suggested by the staff and we were not disappointed.

Great little Sushi place. Love the special order menu. Both our kids wanted to go there on their birthdays.

I’m genuinely disappointed by the way the restaurant is managed under the new ownership. This place was my go-to, but lately every time we go there’s an issue. For instance, we’ll go around dinner time and there’s barely any sushi on the belt but the staff are busy prioritizing making to-go orders when the restaurants is packed with hungry customers. The most frustrating part was how the waitress seat customers. They’re very inattentive and honestly all over the place. The restaurant is pretty small with limited seats instead of reserving the booth (there’s are only 3) for big groups during dinner rush. They go ahead and seat anyone while the bar is empty, and families with little kids (like myself) wait for 40+ minutes for a booth. I understand the pandemic has thrown a lot of people off, and need customers to thrive and I love supporting local businesses but I wish they would improve on those issues. Otherwise, the food is delicious and it hasn’t changed.

Only giving 5 stars because I can’t give 10! Try and go when Hugo is making the sushi. he is so nice and he makes the best rolls!! I’ve been several times and had a great experience but Hugo made it special.

3 only because the sushi is good, even though the pieces are super small. It was easy to see they clearly focus on delivery orders. Arrived at 6pm on a Friday (prime dinner hour) and the belt looked like a ghost town and the chefs were busy filling to go orders. We were forced to order rolls and of course the bill was ridiculous because of that and we didn’t get the variety I love about belt sushi. What’s the point of going to belt sushi if the belt is empty? The service was good. Just really disappointed in the lack of belt options. I’m leaving this review in hopes the owner sees it and makes adjustments because I like coming here, especially when the belt is full of variety.

Honestly I was shocked at how poorly done everything was. There was a lot of food still in packaging from the store it was bought from. They didn’t even try and hide the fact that so much of their food wasn’t made in the restaurant. The booth seats were hard and uncomfortable. I ordered chicken yakisoba and the noodles were crunchy and dry. The sauce they used was so incredibly sweet it did not sit well at all. My partner had one of the ramen dishes and the flavor was very mild and again the noodles were not good. My partner loved the beef tho! Very well cooked. We also did enjoy the sushi. It was basic and cheap but it was good.

Love getting fat on that sushi! Jkjk. Always great. Good service. Great for dates!

The food is tasty, but the size of the portions have shrunk while the prices are NOT as advertised. The sushi roll was 20% higher that it show online and the yakisoba was 31% higher. Not cool.

My favorite local sushi place. They have a great variety with good prices. The place is clean and the staff is always pleasant and helpful.
