I used the Too Good To Go app. It is a discounted amount of food they would have thrown out anyway. They said it was about $20 and I paid $6. I was concerned because it is raw fish but it was so fresh! It was more fresh than some places charge you full price for!
I’m completely obsessed with their truffle salmon bowls, absolutely delicious ?
Seasweets has the absolute best Poke on the planet. My complaint is not about the quality or their food, because that is superb. My complaint is that their prices keep going up recently. I understand that inflation is happening at unprecedented levels, but business owners can still make a conscious effort to help curb inflation at their level periodically for the greater good of society or at least raise prices at a slower rate if they must raise them. I’ve seen them extremely eager to raise prices on multiple occasions after having steady prices for a few years. What was even more disappointing was when I was in there today, in addition to dramatic price increases they were very stingey today with portions. I paid extra for sides which is typical for me to get multiple meals out of the bowl since it is my favorite, and the gave me 1/3 the normal tofu they normally give and substantially smaller scoops of poke and they were out of white rice. The most disappointing was bringing my mom to visit today because she was in the mood for poke and since this is my favorite I wanted to share that with her. We drove half an hour to get there, that’s how much I love this food. Since she recovered from COVID almost a year ago she has had lots of issues with her tastes, with a particular aversion to anything onion, despite loving them before COVID. We asked for plain Poke without onion as her protein(all of the pre-made ones have sweet onion or scallion or both) so she could still enjoy it and they informed me that the owner has explicitly said they weren’t allowed to do that. We were really disappointed all around today. The first time I left dissatisfied. With COST, PORTIONS and lack of flexibility to work with people who have issues with food.
This is by far my favorite place for poke. The spicy poke bowls are the best. I’ve tried other poke spots around the area and nothing beats SeaSweets. I love this spot.
I had the tofu poke bowl which is vegetarian friendly. It was only $10.75. I ordered the large one, but seemed like it was still $10.75. Portions are huge. I got three sides and unlimited toppings. Yummy. Would come back.
The mask mandate they choose to invoke as a business affords an exemption for those who cannot or choose to not wear masks. They refuse to serve a certain part of the population and their community and when confronted with their hypocrisy they have nothing better to say then “this is our policy.” All common sense and decency have gone out the window and this business is part of the disease sweeping the nation which puts politics and unsound science ahead of the patrons that support said businesses!
Literally the biggest rip off yet. If you're looking for yesterday's fish and sub par ingredients, this is your bet. My dogs and cats wouldn't even touch this, and the fish was basically almost gray when i got home and opened it up. Looking for poke fix? Hit up Uwajimaya up the way or even a regular American grocery store deli. I would not recommend this place unless you're a totally sashimi/poki newb and don't mind gambling with your health. 0/10. Threw out everything I bought by end of day. Zero clue what other people are raving about, they must have no experience with raw fish or seafood in general ??♀️??
I was here for the first time and loved it.At this time there is no seating inside, so of course I ordered to go.Food was fresh and flavors were amazing.Place was clean and it's a small restaurant.I was also impressed that they are using biodegradable containers.I hope to have time to visit again before I need to fly home.
The poke bowls are super reasonably priced given the amount of sashimi that they use, although in full disclosure, we usually get LARGE bowls with an extra scoop of sashimi. The fish is fresh - truffle salmon is our go-to favorite, and we usually mix in the spicy albacore or shoyu ahi. The variety of sides and mix-ins really round out the textures and flavors in this bowl. Highly recommended!
Usually this is my fav place but today it was less than great. They must have hired new staff that don't read the comments on the order and who obviously made the ahi wrong today. I asked for nothing spicy and my mouth is on fire. I also love the seaweed salad and asked for both sides to be that in the comments because when you order online you can't pick the same side twice. Off course I got the wrong side. ... 4 large bowels over 60 bucks and in the trash. Disappointed ... was a regular but may need to find a new place.
