Hands down the best BBQ in the Portland metro. The brisket sandwich is a transcendental experience. Chicken, ribs, pulled pork, all top notch and the prices are affordable. Sadly, I moved to Vancouver so I haven't been able to make it to Raining's as often as I'd like. Today I stopped in for lunch and the owner recognized me right away, said hello and mentioned how it had been a long time. The entire staff is friendly like that, I get the sense that it's a family affair. Try it, 100% you will not regret it
Fantastic brisket. The smash burgers were delicious too.
The BBQ is good, but the macaroni side was pretty bland.
This bbq was fire. The pulled pork loaded fries were so bomb. The ribs were falling off the bone. The chicken was so flavorful and moist. It was all v tasty. Definitely coming back asap to try brisket since they were all out.
Impossible to stop eating. I got the special, which on that day was brisket fries and mac-n-cheese. I did not expect it to come in one pile, but the mixture of flavors and textures was appealing. The brisket was well-cooked, pleasantly and surprisingly so, given my experiences with the PNW's attempts at barbecue, and I look forward to eating with them again.
I ordered the Ribs, Mac n Cheese, and Mashed Potatoes.What I loved: Ribs were very yum! I love that these ribs were smoked and you could taste it. They also weren't super sweet which I dislike in bbq sauces for ribs. Little bit of spice as well, which I loved. They were tender too. I've missed ribs since moving from Texas and these did hit the spot.What I liked: The mac n cheese was not bad but not the greatest. I think if they added more seasoning, maybe made it creamier, and definitely smoked it, it would really take it up to the next level.What I didn't love: The mashed potatoes. I was told they were Garlic Mashed Potatoes so I was expecting flavor but they tasted like they weren't seasoned at all. Just a steamed potato scooped out onto a plate. Had higher expectations for these! I poured their 'Bad' bbq sauce over them to make it better.All in all, 4/5, decent BBQ and I had been living in Texas for 18 years prior to moving here recently so I'd say pretty solid for Oregon!
Straight up the best ribs I've ever had. Perfectly seasoned and the meat just falls from the bone.
The staff were friendly, the brisket was good. The fries are beer battered delicious spears of golden heaven. I recommend the brisket burrito. 12 bucks comes with fries and you'll be lucky to finish half. The brisket (while not the best I've ever had) is so dang good. The bbq sauce his that spot so well too. You should totally try this cart.
Raining BBQ & Grill is located in BG’s Food Cartel in Beaverton.They offer a huge variety and selection of BBQ and smoked foods.I had the Beef Brisket Platter along with the coleslaw and grilled onions.The platter comes with incredible pickles that have a great flare.The brisket is fantastic as is the dipping sauce.My daughter really enjoyed her Pulled Pork Platter as well.Excellent overall!!!
The bbq sauce and brisket is delicious, but the sides (Mac & cheese, etc) could use a little work.
