Definitely a legit Japanese bakery. We got there on a Friday afternoon and lots of stuff was sold out. But they were able to make some sandwiches - the pork cutlet (pictured) was awesome! Others were just standard.
Great baked items, easy to go or ypu can sit and eat. Highly recommend the curry doughnut and sweet bread. Very friendly staff and easy instructions for how to order. Also got a egg salad and katsu sandwich. Coffee and iced beverages served as well.
Finding a place to grab a quick breakfast before starting your day is always a chore during vacation. Fortunately, we found this place pretty close to our hotel that serves up Japanese bakery items. It reminded me of our trip to Japan when we would start out each day with some freshly baked pastries.
This pastry shop has such cute, yummy pastries! My favorites are the Kare pastries, the melon bread, and these dorky little cream horns with the googly eyes! ?Service is always really friendly and accommodating, the space is big and clean, and it's always easy to just run in and out if you need something quickly.
I have been here several times and it continues to delight. The pastries are Japanese/French inspired but better than I have had after having been to Japan three times. The Beef Kare Donut is my go to savory option with traditional Japanese curry inside a slightly crisp donut. The castella donut is a more mainstream choice with roots in Portugal and a custard filling. The An Pan roll with red bean paste is my sweet choice because it's got just the right balance of sweetness and pairs well with the oat milk matcha latte. My son's chooses the Double Chocolate Melon Pan filled with whipped cream and the Oyatsu Dog. All the pastries are worthy. Come more than once to appreciate them all and enjoy them in the peaceful setting of wood slab tables and simple white chairs.
This bakery is awesome. My wife and I love going here. Due to the pandemic is slightly cozy on the inside (understandable) but they have streamlined the process to take home their delicious treats so that works well for me.
First time visitor - won’t be my last. Nice selection and atmosphere. Tonkatsu sandwich was delicious and reasonably priced. Bread was light, airy, and fluffy. Service was great. Can’t wait to return.
Wow, the other reviews are right, this bakery rocks! My whole group was so impressed with everything we got, and we got a lot! I really love that they have so many savory options. I ended up going through the line 3 times, because I kept finding new things to bring home, and each time a different employee helped me and they were all super friendly. I can't wait to back!!
Pure magic. Legendary Japanese baking, descending from the heavens and sprinkling love on the unworthy of Beaverton! It's never a bad day there. Don't wimp out, get one of everything, and cut them into pieces to share with your friends. I tell you, I usually even spring for a loaf of their sliced bread, it makes a marvelous tuna or chicken melt. I always get a melon pan, for reasons, and am never disappointed.
thare coffee was super good and all the food is super yummy
