Great place to eat. The wait staff are friendly and we have been here aeveral times. Fresh chips and salsa and great menu options. The torillas are freshly made as well. I love carne asada, but the Saturday Steak and peppers is delicious, with rice and beans. We've also tried the Tijuana and the Fajita saladoh and the pollo asada de crema is yummy too, all good choices. The waiters check on you and make sure that you are taken care of. I sat in the bar area once and it was social and the guests and bartender were friendly . Definitely a place with big serving. You will feel full.or have to take it home.
Juan Colorado is always one of my favorite places to go since moving here from out of state. My partner and I will make any excuse just to come here, dine and drink. They always make the most delicious food, the most amazing margaritas, and the environment is so cozy! If I could go here every day I would.
Terrible Service!!!! Bad, bad bad service by one employee. I think everyone knows who I’m talking about.We have been loyal customers of this otherwise a great restaurant for about 10 years. BUT recently, most of the good servers have gone away and there is now a very very bad server. He is a male who looks to be in his 30s. We noticed this terrible service the very first time that he waited on us. He would spend most of his time following around the young bus girl and trying to talk to her.There have been several times when we go in and there is nobody else in the restaurant and nobody in the bar and he is still nowhere to be found for up to 10 minutes. And then when he does get a couple more tables he is so disorganized, that he completely forgets about his other tables. Just leaving them stranded. The guy is just not cut out for the job.We have been to the restaurant five or six times since then and the service with this guy is always the worst. So, we finally started giving him the tip that we felt he deserved. Which it was about 7%. And this is because he would just walk by our table time after time and never even look at us.The restaurant was empty. He’s not a good server and I don’t know why he’s there. He does not have good customer service qualities. Typically, when a customer leaves a tip reflective of the service that they received this is an opportunity for the server to perhaps reflect what kind of service that they delivered. Not him!Note this! Unfortunately the last time we were there he actually followed me out to the parking lot when I was getting in my car and he crumpled up the credit card slip and dropped it on the ground in front of me: so that I could see his disapproval. He then pretended like he was getting into the passenger side of his car. But when he was first coming out he looked like he was following me straight to my car door and came within a couple of feet of me. He did scare me for a second. He knew exactly what he was doing. This is not safe this is not appropriate this is very bad! The guy needs to go. We will not be back until he’s gone. We didn’t mind paying the higher pricing in exchange for consistency and service. But I would rather drive to another business who’s servers have been hired based on their ability to interact appropriately with customers.It is currently July 2022 and this started approximately May 2022
The food is amazing. I got a margarita with a sample platter and my gf got a tortilla soup and a mojito. The portions are huge and the service is amazing. I will be back for more of delicious food.
I have been coming to this place for over 6 years now.How ever today 5/21/22 I experienced the worst service ever from Mohamad. Not only he was prejudice against my family and I, he also refused to serve us.Businesses get busy when they are not expecting it but they need to teach there employees that customers need to be respected.
Just happened to stumble upon Juan Colorados tonight while headed for Chipotles and decided to give it a try. OMG I had the best Chili Verde in my life, absolutely the best ever. I usually never give 5 stars because there is always room for improvement, but not in this case. I can't think of anything that could have improved my experience. Great service too!
This is a great little place for a margarita and nachos after work! Both the margaritas and the nachos are HUGE, easy to share. The food is very standard for American-Mexican food, but still yummy. My husband and I frequent this place for an easygoing date night and we love the service, the owner always gives us what we like and then some.
We've been here a few times. Food is good, plentiful, and comes out quick. Do wish they checked back in for drink refills a little more but overall a nice little spot for sit down service.
Best carne asada I have experienced outside of texas. Chili colorado is excellent as well. However, most other menu items I have tried have been mediocre if not unremarkable. Fajitas are overcooked, low quality meat. (Why not use the carne asada meat???) Enchiladas are boring, anything with shrimp or crab is nothing special. Queso is gritty. Salsa is pretty darn good though.
