This was our first visit. The staff was friendly and service was fast. The food was pretty good (sides were the highlight). We tried a guacamole burger, spicy chicken sandwich, and mushroom burger with onion rings, jo jos and chili cheese fries and berry milkshakes. The tables weren't clean so we wiped down our own. Checked it off my list. I wouldn't mind coming back but won't be dreaming about it.
Went and checked this place out yesterday. Good food, especially the fries. Staff was great, nice location and clean. Looking forward to checking out other items on the menu.
Burger was reminiscent of 50s style diners, not too greasy. The hard liquor shake was the perfect balance, just enough to taste the liquor but not enough to smell it. Food was a little slower than I would have expected for how few patrons were there with me but since people will tell you perfection takes time. If you feel like a burger without the typical "fast food fast bomb" feeling afterwards, give them a try. My name is Joe and I approve this review. ?
So sad because I've been wanting to come here. Let's start with the girl working behind the counter. I ordered a Diablo dog with light mustard and onions. When she brought it out she said it didn't have light mustard on it and would I like them to remake it? She said it was ok if I did. I said yes please and thank you. She grabbed the container and stomped away. As she was walking away I asked if she could just do no mustard please. And she didn't acknowledge. When she came back she literally tossed the container in front of me and I said thank you twice as she stomped away. I called out to her and said directly to her THANK YOU she said.. yah... Now.. on to the food. Barely cooked hot dog and practically raw bacon!!! It's like they pulled the dog and threw it back together with barely any chili on it. It was GROSS!! She basically made it so I would never come back. Poor attitude and needs to learn some customer service skills.... oh and my Mom's regular dog was cold too. Onion rings were great so I guess they have that going for them.

Love this place..I got a chefs burger & fries. The prices are great especially for local raised beef. The burger was cooked perfectly..crispy on outside, and well seasoned. The fries are exceptional well seasoned and crispy. I will definitely be back with friends and family ?
The burger itself was tasty, but pink inside. Asked for a new one. That one was also undercooked. Wife got "Reeses PB Cup" shake. There was no chocolate taste or any Reeses chunks. Basically a Peanut Butter flavored shake. Sweet potato fries were hot, but overcooked. This is the 2nd location we've been to and disappointed over the same issues. Not coming back.
Holy moley this place is bomb.com! It is the true mom and pop type burger place. I forgot to take a photo of the food because it was so good.
I’ve lived in this area for over 16 years and this is the first time entered Joes Burgers on Murrayhill. Ordering was easy and was told it would about 10 minutes or so. It was quite cold inside so, I stepped outside for about five and went back in. Noticing they about eight paper tray up on the counter with French fries and onion rings in them , figured my order would be long. So, I stood there for almost twenty minutes as they started put orders together. Mind you the fries and onion rings have been in the boxes already !! As they handing out people’s orders , I’m thinking is slow service because , they had six people working. Finally get my order and as I was leaving , another customer said , boy are they slow !! Got home , opened the boxes, ready to eat. The onions were burnt and grease soaked from sitting so long and my burger had about a two inch piece of the bacon that wasn’t cooked !! Very disappointed, needless to say. Carla Jr would have been a better choice !! I gave two stars because of the location. Will never go back!! How they made it all the stuff going this last year plus is amazing !!
Slow and always backed up, rude, and expensive. An awful combination.
