First time visit. Coming in, it felt cozy and peaceful, sushi station manned by 2 elderly gentleness working steadily, concentrating on the food preparation... Ordered bento combos. Starter glass noodle salad, lettuce salad, and miso came, all of which had a well balance flavor! Note: lettuce salad should be eaten with a spoon. All of the main were okay to good. The okay part was unfortunately the sashimi, the most important part. It was a bit soft, especially what I thought was the yellowtail. It may be due to the fish being too thin... I was considering 5-star rating until the character of their sashimi was tasted and when I realized the sushi designation of the bento menu meant Nigiri...It's a good restaurant but does not warrent 5 stars.

Today I decided to dine here, but was not served at all. I stayed there for a solid 40 minutes, and not even ONE waiter helped me. There was a lot of open tables, and even if they are all reserved, you could’ve told me, a simple acknowledgment would make my experience a lot better. If the waiter had told me how long I had to wait I would gladly wait more than 40 minutes. BUT NO ONE EVEN WALKED TO THE FRONT AND TALKED TO ME. This is not the first time, I have several friends who also had the same problem, they even waited longer than me. This is a recurring problem that still haven’t been fixed, 1 star.

We enjoyed the combo dinner with teriyaki chicken and tempura udon. The miso soup was amazing and our meal also came with noodles and cucumber and a small side salad. We also enjoyed the eel avocado roll and the tempura roll. The vibe feels very cozy and relaxing inside- with calming music and every seat filled with people enjoying food and each other’s company. You may have to wait a bit, few waitstaff are helping the whole restaurant. We took it as an opportunity to talk and digest between courses- which more than made up for the wait. Can’t wait to go back!

This place is legit. Go early if you can. We waited a while to order to go but the place was packed and the two ladies were hustling food out to the tables. Don't expect to be greeted right away if they're busy. They'll get to you when they can but it's worth the wait! The quality of the sushi is amazing for the price!

Unfortunately, this was a mediocre meal. We were not attended to very often and for the price, it was not very flavorful. It's fine, and the portions are huge, but I'd rather have tastier food in smaller portions.

Great food and good prices. This place has been around for 30+ years and there is a reason it's still around. The sushi was tasty and fresh, the bentos were priced right and you get quite a bit of food for the cost. I am a repeat customer and finally took the time to review it.

Fresh sushi, crispy tempura, comfort food that hits the spot, and generously portioned bentos. Everything here hits the mark and on top of all that the restaurant has that quaint mom and pop Japanese diner feel and all at a reasonable price too.

Awful service, but amazing food. They really try to keep the place packed even though the staff is about 1/2 of what is required. You will spend 2 hours here, most of the time waiting for service, waiting for food, or waiting for the check. Sushi is good, tonkatsu good also.

Great bentos and a warm homey atmosphere. Their tempura is some of the best I've ever had. I love the kabocha tempura the most. I got the mackerel bento and it was such a good bang for the buck. Their sake is also reasonably priced. Really like this spot!

Best sushi I have every had! The miso soup is fantastic, the sushi rolls are fresh and have a beautiful presentation, and the wait staff is friendly. We usually have a long wait to be seated, but it is worth it.
