We enjoyed our lamb gyro and chicken shawarma at one of the two outside picnic benches. Absolutely amazing food, efficient and very fast service. Employee was so kind to serve us our items, carrying them to the outdoor tables with a smile. Reasonably priced, nice dessert options and the outside tables were much appreciated by our pooch! Save room (or take them home) for the decadent Honey Balls!
The guy that owns the place is a giant with a giant personality. No nonsense but very glad to see you. Fresh pita bread made in front of you and then dipped in hummus while you wait for your food... Oh yeah! I make a point of bringing anyone that visits me to this place
They are not really professional when it comes to serving. The person handling the restaurant was unpleasant. We ordered two meals and the cashier mistakenly add one more to our order, not our fault. They brought the food and we told them we just had two. Then a few minutes later the manager jumped in “is this your receipt, you guys ordered 3!!” So weird how they acted in that situation. Hopefully, they refunded my credit card for the meal we didn’t order. The food wasn’t really good as the comments suggest. We asked them to not spicy the gyros but they did it anyway. I got abdominal pain after eating. All in all, we never recommend you going down there rather try the Angelina’s Greek Gyro on NW Couch. Their food is awesome and more importantly so well-behaved individuals.
I love there food, it is absolutely fantastic. I only have one complaint about the place. When you go to order the food you better know what you want! They are very fast paced at wanting you to know what you want and order quickly! I mean I get it they want to be quick so they can serve everyone in an efficient timely manner but it can come off as very rude...I hope they can understand where I am coming from! Excellent food though!!! ?
Excellent food! I recommend the Greek salad with lamb gyro meat, or any of the gyros. Dont miss out on their spicy garlic sauce! Great portion sizes overall, however the hummus appetizer only came with one piece of pita bread which would've been helpful to know from the menu/online ordering. They give a ton of hummus with so little bread.
Had takeout a few years ago and returned for table service today. A strip mall place where customers order and pay at the counter. One server brings the food, cleans up, no water or anything. The owners are Greek and although not “rude”, their culture is a bit different than ours. The restaurant itself is decorated, but lacking atmosphere at the same time— closest match is something like Mod Pizza. But the food is great. But not cheap. The portions are kind and I think the price is fair. The lamb shank gyro (not the more familiar shaved lamb) was excellent. The tahini, tabouli, hummus were very good, the baklava was fine. Didn’t see moussaka on the menu, but maybe I missed it. I will return.
You can't go wrong with any item ordered off of this menu. The owners up front and present approach with customers and staff brings a personal touch to this open, well decorated atmosphere. Ashley was friendly and efficient with customers and cleanliness. My meal was amazing and not as expected for a quick meal. I had the spicy lamb gyro with feta and a side hummus. I could have done just as well with just the gyro with such a generous portion of fresh, well seasoned ingredients and the tenderness of the lamb. But then I would have missed the delicious hummus. Greedy-gut me just had to get a Greek salad with lamb to- go for that late dinner meal. I work nearby, so it looks like I just may be spending my lunch hour here. When you have your next meal don't forget to take the take out menu for future decision-making; saves time! P.s. yes, I finished the whole meal. Nap time!
Gyro House has definitely gone up in quality overtime but it is still hit or miss. In the last year I have come here three times. The first time we ordered pizza for takeout and it was very soggy in the 10 minutes it took to get home - pretty much un eatable. The second time I came I had a Lamb Gyro and it was a large portion size and solid with good taste. I was very satisfied.Unfortunately today, I tried the lamb kebab Gyro and it is an utter disappointment for $13. It is standard for them to provide only five pieces or one skewer which unfortunately is very disappointing for a Gyro. After only a few bites you are left with 75% of your pita gyro with 0 meat. One of my lamb pieces was also very difficult to chew and almost raw.Overall, I recommend coming here only occasionally and to eat something before hand - just in case your food is not satisfying which is a high chance. The worst feeling is to go out for lunch hungry and come home unsatisfied.
Meat, sauces, to desserts, everything here is soo delicious!!! I always come here for my birthday and they treat me with their super tasty baklava. Not only is the food great the Gyro House team is pretty awesome ?.
We’ve been coming to this place for years. We don’t come often, but literally every single time we do this place is perfection. The food is flavorful, soft, and the meat they use is so moist. I can’t express how much I love this place and how happy it makes me to see this place do well. They genuinely deserve the success they got.If you’ve been on the fence about coming here, take the plunge and do it. The price for the amount and quality of the food is fantastic. We love you Gyro House!
