Chinese Dim Sum Seafood

My family often come here to eat despite how much I dislike the place.Their food is below average. Dimsum, chicken with tangy sauce, deep fried squid, seafood noodle soup, hot and sour soup, pork ribs with bbq sauce, kung pao chicken, mabo tofu and etc.So many dish I have tried and I am in awe how this place is still in business for serving such low quality Chinese food.Food is either too salty, too sweet or too blend. There are no “flavors”I am an East Asian and this place is one of the worst Chinese restaurant in the area.Jinwah was far better than this before they changed the business name.

I never like to write any reviews on anything, but I thought I should do it ! My family love to come here for dim sum ( from the old owner). From the pandemic we didn’t come here ! But last weekend we came here for dim sum but they didn’t have the the carts for serving at the table, we had to marks on the paper then give to the waitress, waiting so long for food was okay, but when she brought out, they not hot at all , … all the foods that we ordered they didn’t bring all for us, but the bill still charged everything including the one that they didn’t bring to us ! Then when we pay for the bill, my husband told the cashier that we will give tip by cash after we done ( because we usually put the tip on the table after done ). Just a few seconds later, it was so surprised me when the cashier lady came to my table and said that “ put the tips on the tray “ I told her, I will do it after I organized the foods the left overs, she kept told me put the tips on the tray , then she talked to two more coworkers something, then all off them looked at us with the weird face! The tips at least 15 or 18 percent , but I know even tips is optional or whatever we will put on the table for them. ! I really felt bad about that, and I’m sure , I never come back again! That’s so bad experience ! And also my best friend got the same experience like me at the same day , just 45 minutes before me ! So we never be back!

We ordered a couple dishes to go, one beef with broccoli and one seafood combi. Just hated to say neither one tasted any good. The beef was rubbery and the seafood was very bland, pretty pathetic actually. I know these restaurants have suffered greatly by the pandemic and they could used all the support but not with this kind of quality provided

Food was so-so. Although there were tables available, they still made us wait for more than 15 mins. Waitresses have no personality and the first waitress had to call another who understood English. All they did was take our order and bring it. Then they wanted a tip of at least 15%. I gave a token cash tip but I will never dine there again. The prices for the dim sum were a little pricey.

I legit don’t like that I have to do this because my family has always ordered from this restaurant and loved it. They have delicious food, the dim sum is amazing and the salt and pepper shrimp is my favorite. But tonight when we ordered my wife found tiny shards of glass in her Fried Taro. We called the restaurant to let them know and all they said was sorry and that they will give us a free order of Fried Taro when we come in. I wasn’t looking for a free meal, or even a refund on the order but it seemed like they did not care and were trying to get me off the phone. There was no email on their website for me to contact so I felt this was the only way to let the restaurant know that this happened.

This used to be an ok restaurant. it could never compete with dim sum houses in NYC or San Francisco, but living in Southwest Portland, it saved a drive to the Eastside. Since COVID, it has gone from mediocre to bad. Cold food, bad service, no thank you!.

I really wanted to like this place but I am afraid that the food and service here is just not very good.Granted, the previous occupants, Jinn Wah set a pretty high bar, but even so the dining experience my family had there recently was notably mediocre, the waitress had to be asked three times to bring us bowls for our soup and our steamed rice finally showed up only after we had finished our meal. The food was barely warm when it got to our table, and not even up to the quality of Panda Express. Oh well. Maybe someday another really decent Chinese restaurant will open on the West Side, but folks, this one ain’t even close.

The food is a little bland. Their fried rice is bland and the same can be said for their lo-main. The sauce on the orange chicken smelled like it had gone bad. To be honest, my last two visits were a huge disappointment. I'm giving them three stars since I tried their dim sum and it was decent.

Good dim sum. Bright and clean. Love their BBQ pork pineapple buns.

Really clean, well staffed, great food! Practices social distancing and cleaning, staff wearing masks and gloves. Good pricing for the area.
