My first time here. Food was great. Large portions. Good atmosphere. Friendly staff.

Perfection. It was our first time to Black Bear Diner and I think it’s our new local favorite. We enjoyed “The Grizz” breakfast with Swedish pancakes and they were heavenly. The hash browns were perfectly cut and cooked. If I had one recommendation it would be to make the bacon crisp. When it’s too soft it’s chewy : (Everything was delicious from the coffee to the toast. The toast was actually the BEST I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Service was top notch. Our friendly server, David The Great One, didn’t miss a beat. He was prompt to greet us, served our food piping hot and didn’t overwhelm us by serving the main meal at the same time as the pancakes. The restaurant was warm, clean, welcoming and comfortable. Another server at the next table was able to accommodate his customers by speaking in their language and we just felt that the overall vibe was splendid.I told my daughter that it felt a lot like waking up in the morning and going downstairs to your warm kitchen and having a perfect breakfast served. She agreed.

Good food and GREAT service from Manuel!

great service and delicious food.

Our waiter was helpful and efficient. It was a busy Saturday night, but he kept everyone's coffee topped off and was quick with requested items. I was impressed. The special was prime rib. I had it with a baked potato and mixed veggies and a half salad. Everything was perfect! I highly recommend the special when you dine at Black Bear Diner.

Lovely homecooked goodness food. Service with a smile. We dropped in one evening for a quick bite to eat. Staff very attentive and happy to help. There fried chicken was amazing, cooked fresh. A place to go for a big hearty home cooked dinner. You won't leave hungry.

Huge portions and friendly service!

We were traveling through the area after travelling from the east coast and stopped for a bite. All the food was well prepared and the staff were all very friendly and kept our glasses filled. Great place.

Stopped here to grab breakfast while waiting to pick up a friend. Menu's look like a newspaper where the front tells the story of the diner and the inside is the menu.Food is good and very large portions. I had a Southern Scramble and hot chocolate. (Took half of it back to my friend).Waitress was really nice and restaurant looked clean. They even have a little gift shop with the Black Bear logo.Didn't pick up a desert, but they are made in large bowls and look delicious.Hours have been shorten m-f due to Covid and some staff shortage I would think... ?As a side note, bathroom was also clean, which is a big plus.

Lively+friendly environment and staff!! the food was absolutely delicious and the portions are huuuge!! i got the shasta scramble and i would highly recommend it! the bear paw french toast with filling was a little too sweet but still delicious! highly recommend Black Bear Diner
