This is the funniest restaurant sub shop I have never been to him they don't have any tables inside , and they don't have any tables outside it's the guy told me they can't open the restaurant because they don't have a working bathroom oh, so that means that they have some sewage dumped in the back. I just think it's very unprofessional and uninviting at you can't even eat in the restaurant nor do they have a picnic table outside
I've tried this place twice so far since I found it near my work place. Delicious! The sandwiches are big and packed with meat, cheese and any other goodie you wish for in a sandwich. I've tried the clam chowder and French onion soup, they were so scrumptious. The staff was friendly and the food is really fresh. I'll be getting fatter for sure
If you just moved to town, and you've never been here before, and money is no issue - 5 stars. Great sandwiches that speak for themselves, and the quality has not changed. If you remember the good old days under previous ownership, well, like me, you're probably going to surprised by the prices, and disappointed by the unfriendly attitude. I had my first EVER negative experience there today. Here's some advice to the newish owner that I'm sure will be ignored: either stop responding to these online reviews or get someone else to do it, because you sound like an angry, unhinged lunatic. I definitely caught an unpleasant vibe from whoever was at the counter earlier today. Maybe they were having a bad day? I understand the customer is not always right - in fact the opposite is often true - but that's not an excuse to act like customer service doesn't matter. Consider this three star review a win.
Was looking for a good sandwich place! After seeing how this owner responds to customers and criticism I guess I’ll keep looking.
The gentleman taking my order wasn't particularly nice. I will say that I had a longer order with multiple payment methods, and as someone who also works retail I **totally** understand how monotonous that can be. But I was greeted with sighs, frustration and an overwhelming feeling of discomfort as I got my order in place.Guys, bad days are normal. I get it. But please don't alienate people because of it.Response to the owner :I had CALLED AHEAD and ASKED if I was able to order INSIDE, to which your attendant had said YES.Yet here you are calling me a poor customer. This is why your terrible approach to customer service will be your downfall. You have no respect and ATTEMPT to passive aggressively "call out" every customer who dares offer constructive criticism. You have lost business from so many customers, including the very store I work for. There is a reason multiple people gave this review a thumbs up : to those people, I will encourage you to sort by lowest /New reviews and enjoy seeing the new owner act with all the grace and maturity of a five year old throwing a temper tantrum.
Indifferent and condescending attitude towards customers... I would give 5 stars for the food, but some staff members I've interacted with act rude and stuck-up when a customer doesn't grasp their special rule system on the first try... There's a lot of hoops to jump through to get a sandwich here and the staff act like they're doing you a big favor. I don't want to be talked down to at a sandwich shop. Please contain your overinflated egos; it's a big turn off. If that operating style works, it works, but my constructive criticism is that it could use some improvement in the courtesy department.
I have been eating here for over 45 years since Chuck first opened the doors! Best sandwich shop around! Thx Chuck
I sure like this homey restaurant, the subs are pretty average, they won't knock your socks off but I think you'll be happy with your meal.
I’ve been going to Beaverton Sub Station for years. They have the absolute best sandwiches and salads around and their customer service has always been top notch. It seems though, that the mighty have fallen.I was going to pass by there on 6/2/2021 on my way home and wanted to order food for me and my family, so I figured I would call my order in.I tried for over an hour to call in and got a busy signal the entire time. My phone shows 51 outgoing calls to then. And yeah, busy signal every single time. That’s understandable - these guys make fantastic food!Since I couldn’t get through to them, I went in. The delivery guy Timmy was on his way out and said he liked my shirt - super friendly guy! Inside was empty since they aren’t doing dine in yet and the place was super clean! There was one order in a bag on the “ready for pickup” counter. The guy who was still inside smiled and asked me which order I was picking up. I told him that I hadn’t placed a phone order. He replied that orders were required to be called in. I let him know that I had been trying to call for over an hour and had not been able to get through. He said “oh, well the orders have to be called in” and shrugged. I said that it was frustrating and the guy responds by laughing and saying that I should have tried longer. What an asinine way to act! Here I am trying to do business with a small local business instead of going to some big chain and the jerk working just laughs at me that I couldn’t get an order placed! So, yeah - apparently success and popularity has gone to someone’s head. Apparently Beaverton Sub Station is so popular that it’s fine to laugh at potential customers. They must be overworked and looking to cut down the workload. That’s all I can figure since there’s no way that acting like that would build clientele.I work for a small local business and I would never laugh at a customer who was frustrated about not being able to place an order or get a job done. Seems to me that the customer service thing to do would be to apologize to begin with and then see if there were any way to take care of the customer.Edit in response to owners reply.1. It’s easy to tell when someone is smiling if you’re paying attention. Usually the eyes give it away. If the eyes don’t tell you for certain, then if the person chuckles that’d usually be a clue.2. Not sure what the OHA or the HD has to do with this... if you read my review I mentioned how clean the place was. My only complaint was how I was treated. The person who “greeted” me was rude in my opinion.3. As for the rest of your rant about business during these times. I empathize, but it has nothing whatsoever to do with being rude to a person who just wanted to give your business their business... with your attitude in your response I’d guess this is all a waste of time anyhow...
One of the best damn sub shops in PDX and I say this as a man that eats his fair share of subs.
