I've never eaten there.... But the take-out is solid. I enjoy being able to get some sushi with my teriyaki - and I'm willing to bet that you will too!
Previous korean owner must have sold this place. Nice ambient, tasty soup and salad. My husband likes the sushi combo. My oyako donbourri was alright but not as good as previous experience. I think it was missing the onion that caramelized the dish and I got too much garlic.
This is a very nice place. It has the traditional Japanese seating style booths with room built in for your legs as well as tables and chairs. The food was really good and the staff were super friendly. I ordered take out but I will be going back to enjoy the atmosphere.
No longer my go to Japanese restaurant in Beaverton. I'm not sure what happened but I was really disappointed last time I went. Poor quality sashimi, cold miso, flavorless Katsudon...meh
This has always been our go to sushi place in Beaverton, but our order today was so bad that I felt compelled to post a review. I have no idea what happened to the quality, but everything tasted bland or unfresh. The avocado was all brown, the fish tasted old, the edamame was mushy and dry somehow at the same time. Even the wasabi seemed an odd color. It'll probably be quite a while before we're comfortable ordering from Banya again. Maybe Wednesdays are just a bad day.
Said it would be 10min wait on food, 20 min later they said we where next up, 40 min in and we get our food. The best part: they never brought us utensils and charged us a 10 dollar service... Never again
Ordered a chirashi sushi and a katsudon, the fish was thin and dry looked and tasted not fresh. Also the pork chop on katsdon had thin thin pork and the batter tasted stale and chewy. The sauce over the rice tasted like a lot of msg that made my mouth thirsty all night!
Absolutely bomb. Love the spicy tuna roll
Banya has been our go-to Sushi spot since we moved into the neighborhood about 4 years ago.We haven't had a single bad experience. Everyone there is super friendly, and the waitstaff are just the right amount of attentive. We absolutely loved eating at the booths before the pandemic, and look forward to going back to indoor dining after their renovations. They've offered takeout throughout the pandemic, and that's been amazing too. 99 Ranch is right across the street, which makes getting a bottle of quality Sake to bring home super easy.
Great local stop for Teriyaki and/or Sushi.I've only had take-out from Banya b/c I live in the neighborhood and just take it home, but the inside is unique and comfortable. From the outside I would have expected a lot less so this is a nice surprise.Their service, portions, and food quality have always been enjoyable. They're such an excellent neighborhood restaurant. We normally get the teriyaki and love the miso soup that comes with it.Banya is worth adding into your mix of restaurant options for sure.
