Superb. Fresh big soft pretzel. Plate of lovely sausages - with 2 kinds of mustard, like the pretzel. Hubby enjoyed a peanut butter stout; mine was actual fresh-squeezed lemonade - divine! But for me, the awesomeness of their mushroom Sheperd's pie cannot properly be described. Just heaven. We think this place deserves to be on our favorites list, for sure.
Food was very good and authentic. Outdoor dining by the creek was very nice. Friendly staff. Will be a repeat customer.
Holy. Cow. This was such a hidden (out in the open) gem for us to stumble upon. It's got a very magical, celtic, Irish vibe but just love the dimmed areas and woodsy look. The whiskey menu is no joke and they make some fantastic mules! We only had the late hours menu but we both got brats and kraut and it was delicious. The back patio is by the Riverwalk if you Want to sit outside. Parking was easy at night. Service was great. The bartender was so friendly and also very knowledgeable about his drinks. It wasn't very busy either. They had a small stage for bands or comedy perhaps. I could see myself dining here frequently if I lived in town. Just a very good vibe. Oh, in the wall were some secret notes with cute "fortunes" that someone left for others to find.
Very small size meal for a larger price. The food was good but feels more like an appetizer. We still paid just as much as going to a restaurant though. The mushroom pie is not a pie and is about the same size as a creme brulee. We have to pay ahead of time, before we know what we're getting. Sad that I gave 20% tip. I wish I could turn back time! Came in hungry and leaving still hungry...and broke.
Such a cool little spot...it's themed after an old English pub from the Shakespeare days. They have a good menu..and if your not a meat eater but want a pie ..I'd recommend the mushroom pie...pretty tasty.
Ambiance was gorgeous and the food was wholesome, filling, well priced, and delicious. Bar selection was luxurious and service was friendly! If you're walking Ashland it is definitely worth stopping in.
Continuously horrible service. Every. Single. Time. The tables are self serve, but even still the two "bartenders" are extremely rude EVERY time you go in. No matter what night of the week or time of day, they act like you're doing them a disservice by entering the establishment. When asked what time they close they told us 11-12 & online says they close at 11. Yet they still let us know they were about to do last call at 9:45, then said they were "done" at 10. They allowed us to order food before 9:45, knowing their chef had apparently gone home, so our food wasn't delivered until nearly 10:30 - after asking what happened to it. (Not to mention we ordered the chocolate cake which turned out to be microwaveable Safeway lava cake) Last but not least - they shut half of the lights in the building off, closest to where my party was sitting. Pushing us out and being very unkind at 10pm. The female bartender with the turtle thigh tattoo was extremely rude and annoyed with us for simply walking in the door. She returned to the bathroom several times which was directly across from our table and after leaving the bathroom she reminded us again that they were "done." As someone who has worked many years of customer service it is NOT hard to maintain professional customer service and essentially "fake it" which she didn't even attempt to do. If they truly do last call at 10?? Then she easily and nicely could have let us know - speaking to customers like they are human beings is truly just not that hard....I'll never be returning here and instead going to the 5 other options on the same block. Good luck Oberons!
Cozy tiny and cool spot.We went there right before their last call for just one drink.Cool decor, many letters stick inside the brick wall. Some of them are nice, some are just drunk...Servers are nice and friendly. We got beer and a cup of spiked chai.We love to come back again for their food.
I was really excited about this place read the reviews but we all know people have different experiences. Walked in it wasn’t busy but instead of being greeted we were met with judgmental stares from behind the bar. Let it go began looking at the menu for a drink l. At a almost completely empty bar they barely spoke a to word us. Once the guest who were standing there before us received drinks left still nothing. THEN people who assume I the lady bartender knew came up she greeted them and they had a drink in their hands very quickly. Wonder why ? I have a good guess. Being someone who actively works in the service industry it’s was pretty bad. And I’ve had my fair share of with bad customer service. It happens people have bad days.I had to leave. That lady bartender looked at me like I wasn’t supposed to be there so I left. I’m not sure if it’s because she had to ask us to put in mask on ( which we did completely spaced putting them on) or for other “personal” reasons didn’t stay to find out
Cool kind of medieval/d and D esque style bar. Great drink selection. Decent vegetarian options. Cool ambience and decoration. Staff were super friendly.
