It's been nearly 10 years since I have been there. I took a drive out that way and stopped in for a Bloody Mary and played some pool. Oak Tree is still the same with having great drinks, air conditioner is one of the best in town, super clean and tidy, smoking out back, and very friendly people all around. Thank you Oak Tree and see ya next time.
I love the oak tree I've been coming here for almost 5 years!!! And is still the one true place I hold so dear to my heart!! I love all my bar tenders, servers and especially the cooks!!? And an extra shout out to Crystal, Kate, Jenna and Ana!! let's not forget Jacob and Gary those spiffayy lads! ?Oh how much we all miss sammi as well!!?
Separate bar/ restaurant. Food served in bar in nice booths or at bar. Extensive menu..Something for everyone. Generally break/lunch/dinner overlap for most part. Right off freeway, Ashland with hotel accomodations next door. Clean, friendly, handicap friendly, however smaller parking lot. Bar plenty seating, at bar, table tops and booths with one pool table and covered outdoor seating with smoking outside. Nice casual stop.
I’ve given this place several visits. I was really hoping to love it because it has an old school feel and it’s a great location close to home, but I’ve been disappointed .The food is hit or miss and is missing ingredients fairly often. when I decided to actually eat in the other day I was brought my salad and meal at the same time. Come on really? Then was given my check in the middle of eating without being asked about a second beer or dessert or anything. The server was nice and seemed fairly new but it was obvious that I was not a priority since I was by myself. I’m always a great tipper but didn’t appreciate that.Unfortunately that was probably my last visit.
The service was great, nice atmosphere, very friendly staff, i had the huevos rancheros, it was good, and for dessert i had the bread pudding which was 3.99 and it was a bigger portion and tasted just as good or better than an $8 dollar bread pudding i had at another local restaurant.
LOVE this place. We stumbled upon it while driving through Ashland and needed a place to warm up and fill our bellies. It was cold and snowy outside and we stopped here for dinner. The ambiance alone was welcoming and cozy, just what you need on a cold winters night. The inside was festive (fireplace on, holidays decorations and Oregon ski cabin vibes). The food was perfection (pot roast, wine and trivia pursuit yes please!) the service was equally great. He was attentive and genuinely nice (nothing seemed forced) I would sum this place up as authentically welcoming and very satisfying.
Steak was overcooked. Staff was very professional and calm in handling an irate patron who walked out with their family and then decided they wanted to take their seats after the servers had cleared their table.
I placed a takeout order on 12/14 at 505pm and picked it up at 5:25pm. It was 1 Nacho order and 1 wing order. I live 5 minutes from the restaurant. The Nachos were cold and it was evident that they had not been baked, the cheese was not even melted and you talk about a bland Nacho order, we got it. My wife had to remove them from the container and heat in the oven. I don't believe this is a take and bake place. I also ordered the wings and they were barely warm. This was our first try to Oak Tree and our last. Sorry Oak Tree
Nice menu of breakfast choices-got fast service on my request for decaf! We came for dinner and also liked the American diner food choices!
Great food, great service. I’ve been eating here for years and The Oak Tree never disappoints.
