I’ve had a lot of breakfasts in my day. All over the world and this place is easily in the top 5. Had the crepe burrito with the chorizo, my wife had the bacon waffles with the walnut butter and Marion berry compote. We also split the eggs Benedict and a side of side gratin potatoes. Everything was incredible. The meals are well thought out so they hit each different type of flavor. They are very well balanced flavor wise, so much so that my wife who is a syrup lover was blown away by the compote they use. I didn’t particularly care for the coffee, but that’s the type of roast and bean and 100% a preference issue. The only thing I have a problem with is that they are so very far away from Portland. Glad to have eaten here and will be back anytime we are within an hour drive of them. Do not hesitate to enjoy this place.
A very fine selection of meals, some a little eclectic but great tasting. One of the busiest cafes for breakfast in town with good reason. Food is fantastic.
Worth the wait. Food is excellent and staff is friendly. This is not a greasy spoon diner, it has a well-curated and elevated menu with stick-to-your-ribs satisfaction. A great brunch experience.
Nice cheerful atmosphere, very cozy and homey. We love how they have it set up in the back with all the windows and plants! Great staff, some of the best I've come across! They are so accommodating and cheerful, it made for a great experience. Food was very good. Latte was amazing, and I'm picky about lattes! Only flaw was the biscuits for the eggs benny, they tasted just a tad heavy/starchy, but I could also taste that they were homemade which I admired. All in all good food, great atmosphere, and excellent service we can't wait for our next visit!
I heard really good things about this restaurant and decided to have a meal here between meetings, and thoroughly enjoyed both my food and the restaurant itself. My server was attentive and polite without being overwhelming, and my food came out quickly, but without losing any quality. I had the crispy risotto & kale cakes, which were unique and very tasty, and my hashbrowns were crispy without being burnt. My tea was strong without being bitter, which was a nice change - not all restaurants know how to properly brew tea.
This was my first visit since the new owners took over the restaurant. I hate to say, but I was disappointed. The menu has been paired down and some of my favorites, like the shrimp rock cakes, were missing. I had an omelet that used to be a favorite but it bore little resemblance to the one I had loved. The balance of ingredients was off - too many onions, not a lot of fontina. And things just didn't taste fantastic. The hash browns were mushy and seemed to have been frozen. I think perhaps the owners have an eye on costs and are purchasing inferior product. I will probably return sometime to check out the oatmeal pancakes which are pretty easy to do right. But I'm sad that this was not as of old. I guess everything must change. I own and manage a vacation rental and this restaurant has been on my list for years as the best breakfast in Ashland, but sadly I'll have to take it off the list.
worst breakfast and egg dishes that we have had anywhere in recent memory. this place must have changed hands in the last year or so. beautiful place. horrible carelessly prepared foods that seemed to be right out of a sysco cryopack or worse, made by someone with little to no training or experience or interest in food
As Bay Area transplants, my wife and I are always seeking "value" in new dining experiences. We found this at Ashland's Morning Glory cafe in southern Oregon. Our server Kendal was attentive and gracious so very early on a Sunday. The long-standing kitchen staff turned out delicious, large-portioned entrees. Marge and David, the cafe's new owners, greeted us warmly. In effect, the $47 (including gratuity) commitment was an excellent value in both money and time in this picturesque town in the Rogue Valley. Surely Shakespeare would agree with us.
Morning Glory Cafe is the type of restaurant that every town Hope's to have in it. The place has a great vibe and unique feel that the food continues with. It's not a ypical restaurant. They typical foods with some great twists. I enjoyed banana bread French toast for all 3 of my visits. I dont even like French toast but I do like banana bread. I tried it and was hooked. If I am back in Ashland again, this will be my first stop before going to lithia park.
Amazing and delicious food, served by great customer service. Proportions are very generous. You can safe half for later!! Wonderful atmosphere. Definitely a place we try to visit often
