Before the review, is anyone else DEVASTATED & PO’D that we the lost the ‘BEST ALL-TIME EVER’ - ‘PACKED HOUSE’ - ‘PEOPLE CAME FROM EVERYWHERE’ - BROASTED CHICKEN AND JOJO DINNER?????? The food now is only adequate, but it used to have such a “WOW” factor!!!! Last couple of visits here have prompted a comment about food establishment cleanliness; especially during this time of the plague. The salt and pepper shakers were so ‘sticky’ I could hardly get them out of my fingers to set them back down. Use packets, provide sani-wipes; better still, do an expected basic decent job of cleanliness for the sake of your customers. From the owner/manager on; got to step up your game - the whole place is an Oregon Health Inspector’s full-time project - the shakers are only the tip and indication of many issues. With the length and rate of plague infections increasing; your operation jeopardizes the exemplary effort others are making in your own industry - why contribute to another food industry shutdown.
The bartenders were nice and well trained, but the food was messed up. It took nearly an hour to cook what was supposed to be 8 pieces of great chicken, mushrooms and tater tots. What we got is 8 pieces of overcooked chicken, shriveled up mushrooms and Jojo potatoes. Look at this photo…. Would you eat it? What a bunch of bull?. The two stars were for the bartenders.
My bf wanted to check it out. We got in around 8pm. I ordered him a beer and myself a shot (early, so I could drive home) and a glass of water, no ice, which the bartender repeated back to me and then promptly gave me a glass full of ice! About 10 minutes later I asked for more water, again no ice, which she promptly scooped more ice into and filled with water. Went back for more water and waited for over half an hour for more water until the off-duty bartender sitting close to me asked if I was mad. I explained I was the DD and had been waiting THEN she jumped up ( after previously telling me she was off the clock) and I told her not to bother. As long as you enjoy NO ONE being masked, then, cheers!
Total Gem off the 5! Play pool, slots, darts, Foosball and even beat your friends on a giant game of connect 4! Great food, friendly staff and beautiful outdoor area! A must stop in Albany just off the intestate 5/99E. Ask to play a game of billiards with the owner... you won't be disappointed, she's awesome!
My taste buds and wallet were equally pleased. Attention to service and the quality was well worth the time and money. I will be returning for another meal. It is clear why the place is a local hotspot. Kudos to the staff and owner!
Decent food at a good price. This place has been here forever. It's a good place to play pool and socialize.
Their drinks are too strong. The wait staff is inadequate at best. Their bathrooms are gross.
Dump being the key word. Rude event staff, gross environment. A true dump. But...the grilled cheese sandwich was delicious! I'm from out of town, and a friend said it was the best little dive bar around. Love a dive bar. This place was just disgusting. Ick
We are moving on up.. to the comedy side! Thank you Humpties Dump, for great entertainment. Keep it up!
My Mother & Aunt were treated absolutely horrible in this place yesterday by the bartender, Andy. He forgot to turn in their order. Rather than own up to this mistake he chose to call my Mom names. When she confronted him he got even more belligerent & then threatening. Whoever the waitress that stopped him from coming around the bar at my family we thank you. She was extremely professional & very kind. The owner was called the next day but Shirley did nothing but defend her bartender. I hope they get that man into some anger management classes.
