OMG! This was the best breakfast I've had in a while dining out. I ordered the chicken fried steak with potato pancakes and as usual, an ice tea. My breakfast was hot, my toast was well buttered, I ordered the potato pancakes well done and they were amazing! Plus, on top of all that goodness, our waitress was outstandingly fabulous!! She got all the orders correct and perfect, but most of all, I got like 4 refills on my tea!!!!! (Usually I get 1) She was amazing!!! I left a good tip but had I had more money to give, this girl would have gotten it for sure. I'll check my receipt tonight and see if her name is on it as our server. I'd love to give her mad props!! Highly recommend Elmer's in Albany.
Just like everywhere else the service here has been declining over time. Some staff are only willing to put in minimum effort. Cleaning tables and customer appreciation seems to be below some of the staff. Its a diner but the food and the service are not consistant enough for even that. Good days and not so good days. There are some wonderful people who work here so if you find one you can feel lucky. If the restaurant is more than a third full you're chances of having a positive experience are not very good. We are fond of Elmer's and hope they can recover.
We LOVE this Elmers! We come here nearly every weekend and been treated kindly every time. Tanya is one of the best servers we’ve ever interacted with and is a true pleasure to be around. Thank you for being amazing and our go-to breakfast spot in Albany.
There was hardly anyone there. The service was fast and great. I am GF and the server was very consciences of my allergy. Along with the kitchen staff. Albany definitely had Covid19 fears. The fast food restaurants were only open for drive through. Crazy.
I am in town for the weekend, I ordered an omelet with hash browns and the country biscuit breakfast. The only thing that was not raw was part of the omlet, everything else was completely raw. Doughy biscuit and raw hash browns and bacon. Like I understand that the restaurant was super busy but you shouldn’t push out raw food
We had a large group and the restaurant was busy. They did a excellent job. Food was good and service fine. They had two large groups to service and they had normal customers to take care of. Bravo ?
Excellent service & delicious food! We were immediately seated by a friendly hostess who brought us drinks, plus water (without us requesting it), and introduced our waiter. He was there within minutes & took our order quickly. Our food was served promptly, as ordered & hot! Terrific Pacific NW specific menu items. GREAT experience!
The food was delicious. The manager made up for the rude hostess very quickly and gave us coupons. He corrected her politely, and made it right without us even getting upset. Great managers are had to find, this guy is 5 star worthy, and his crew will learn.
This place is awesome!!! Had the Hungry Rancher Breakfast more than I could eat!. Portions are large and cooked to order. Parking for Tractor Trailers is available with short walk. Very good meal Great Staff!
I order food via the DoorDash app pretty frequently with Elmers and usually I’m not disappointed, but this time around I barely received any fries and when I called to inform the Elmers restaurant, whoever answered the phone had to get their supervisor and then their supervisor said the MANAGER had put together my order. How AWFUL. Absolutely not worth the $17 sandwich and fries.
