Wonderful place and the food prices were VERY reasonable (considering how much prices have gone up at every other restaurant we've been to). We enjoyed Tokyo Gardens and it was very special for my son's birthday.

Tokyo Garden never fails to impress. The food, service and ambiance is wonderful. Try the MonkeyBall Sushi and the Sakura hibachi. The only complaint is the bar drinks are never great. They need to hire a good bartender. Otherwise it's perfection!

We took a large group for my nieces birthday and absolutely had a blast. The puns, jokes, and artistry of the chef were all top-notch. My niece confidently announced that her next birthday dinner will also be at Tokyo Garden next year.Atmosphere is cozy, food is yummy. Definitely worth a try.

Have always loved this place until tonight. Ordered an Oklahoma Roll, which was brought out and given to the table next to us. It was then passed between 3 different people, one of which touched the food, before being given back to the waitress as they had not ordered it. She then looked at the ticket, realized it was the wrong table and walked around the corner and out of sight. 15 seconds later she came back and presented me with the same roll that 3 other people that don’t work for the restaurant had handled. I told her I just saw and heard the entire interaction and I did not want food that a customer other than myself had physically touched. She then proceeded to lie and insinuate that it had gone straight from the chef to myself, and not to the other customer like myself, my wife, and another couple witnessed. She then left me with the roll and left and didn’t once ask if I would like a replacement. I am very disappointed in a place that my wife and I have loved for so long and have to say, after a blatant lie about a health code violation that I physically witnessed, I don’t plan to come back any time soon.

Cut to the chase here. Comparing hibachi grills Tokyo Garden Midtown had better tasting and more well prepared entrees than the others hands down and their prices are more reasonable. Excellent job.

The inside of the restaurant appears amazing. It was very clean, the decor was great, there is even a great built in bridge and waterfall. The food was great and servers were friendly. The only complaint that I have is the smell. When I initially entered this location I was hit with an overwhelming smell of multiple strong cleaners masking an odor. It was not good. I contemplated leaving because the smell was so bad. Then after entering the second door there was an entirely different smell. The best that I can describe it is it smelled like old moldy carpet soaked in fabulouso to try and mask the smell. There was carpet on the floor. I don’t know if the smell is an everyday issue or just when I went but it was very distracting and made it hard to focus on my dinner.

It was an all around great experience.

My 5 year old daughter requested this for her birthday. She loves the soup. Had 3 bowls before dinner!

Great place to take the family and enjoy fresh, quality food!
