Some of the best Cajun food in Tulsa. I highly recommend the corn bites and grilled catfish. A little spicy but Sooo yummy. Amazing customer service and made to order every time. Definitely a family favorite!!
First time there. I ordered the catfish with fried okra. It was a little spicy but everything was very good.Very clean place too.I don't give 5's because there is always room for improvement
I arrived at the Southern Style Eatery at about 7:51. Yes, they close at 8pm, but i only wanted to order to go. The owner greeted me by saying, "you know, were closed, but that's OK, u can be my last customer". I thanked him for that. My son and I debated what he would eat while the cashier listened and answered questions. We decided on the chicken strip meal. Then I ordered the 3 fish 3 shrimp meal with 2 sides for $1 more, an extra side and some packets of ketchup and some lemons. I asked how big the shrimp were. The cashier demonstrated, with her fingers, what appeared to be about 4ish inches. I said, "Oh OK, so a prawn"? To which she nodded yes. I finished my order and we sat to wait. Once I got my meal I reslized the child's meal wasn't in the bag. I asked about it and the cashier said that I didn't order one. I disagreed but said dont worry about it,I hadn't paid for it. My meal was $17.09 The sides were 6oz cups. No lemon, no ketchup and the shrimp were shrimp cocktail size. I was already upset that my son didn't have food in the bag, then the missing condiments and little shrimp made me feel like my money was unappreciated. So I went to the door and knocked. The owner came to the door and I explained my frustration. I asked for a refund and he said no and began to explain why. I said that's neither here nor there. I'm asking for a refund and if you choose not to fine, but I'm asking. He looked at me and said "yes fine". He took the food from me and tossed it on the table just inside the door and came back with the money. I thanked him and he politely told me to have a good evening. I must say, he really kept it civil and I appreciate that. This was my first time experience at this restaurant and I can't say I'd never eat there, the food smelled amazing, but first impressions are hard to forget.
Great food , excellent service and very friendly staff .Highly recommend .
The Best Hands Down
Food taste amazing. Something was different this time though. I can't put my finger on what exactly what it was. Normally I get a roll, for what ever reason I got hush puppies this time with my order. Overall very tasty.
The fried chicken is so good I felt like I was sinning while eating it. Definitely need to make a Tulsa trip just for that chicken!... and baklava. ♡
Enjoyed my lunch date with my bro's we ordered the fish , shrimp,fries, hush puppies.the fish is different from the sam's off 11th and Sheridan but still awesome from both locations,shrimp the same size,breading only difference is they put seasoning on it in Springdale shopping center and cocktail sauce as well?
Food is ALWAYS made fresh, it’s worth the wait!
