I will say I was thoroughly impressed.. It was like going back in time But in a very good way. I had chicken fried steak mashed potatoes and gravy coleslaw and coconut cream pie. Also aside Salad. The staff was very friendly and the food came out in a timely manner and well prepared. I will definitely remember to come back. Oh and their dinner rolls are or spectacular.

You know those places that you go to where as soon as you walk in you can smell the hotcakes and the coffee and the bacon? That is this place. It has that atmosphere. You hear the chatter and sounds of plates and utensils clanging. The waitress was super nice and got our order in quick. The food came out fast and it was delicious. It’s like having a small town cafe off of 61st.
Nasty low quality food, but large portions which is why I believe they have such good reviews. The biscuit for my biscuits and gravy was totally not edible, it was old and hard(couldn't even stab it with a fork). Canned mushrooms were in the California skillet and they were nasty. Hashbrowns were not cooked properly and the avocado was old and brown and they forgot one of our sides for togo. It was our 1st experience here and we were so disappointed at the lack of fresh ingredients and quality of food. We won't be back.
Shrimp Platter was awesome! Shrimp was fantastic and the mashed taters and gravy were fluffy and great! I will be back for sure to try the breakfast skillets! Restaurant was clean and staff are prompt and kind! 10 stars!
Great restaurant. Great staff... great food...In town for the chili bowl race and stumbled onto this gem for breakfast. We didn't have anything special but everything we had was perfect.Our waitress was Sarah H and she exemplifies not only a great waitress but also a nice person.Will be back next year.
Always LOVE the Silver Skillet. Tonight was all-you-can-eat fried fish and my husband could not resist. I had the Denver Omelet with has browns. Always an EXCELLENT choice. They have the best has browns in town. Crispy outside. Yum.
