I love the vibe in this place. This is the type of place you can walk in & spend an afternoon doing an assignment or catching up with someone & be comfortable doing it. They are super helpful too. I didn’t want the usual, they asked me questions, found out what I wouldn’t like & what I would & they nailed it.. not to mention, it’s absolutely gorgeous inside
always a great experience at shade’s of brown! the atmosphere is so chill and you don’t get the pretentious vibe of some of the other coffee shops that are popping up. a lot of little coffee shops these days are the kind that give off the impression that if you don’t already know something about coffee, you don’t deserve to learn it or enjoy your experience. not at shades of brown! the baristas are knowledgeable and approachable, and if you don’t know what you’re in the mood for they’re happy to give a helping hand! i take everyone here when i get the chance! my dad is always talking about “that place you took us with all the mugs” and asking when the next time we can go is going to be. everything is good- but if you’ve never had it, try the bhodi. it’s what i’ve got so many people hooked on :,)

You have to stop by and soak in the vibes of this wonderful place. It's the coffee shop of my childhood and as I've grown my love for this place has also. My husband and I had our first dates here as teenagers. We still enjoy a hot cup of coffee or tea and catch up with my sisters and their lives when we can at this place. The Chai tea latte always is a treat!
Love this little coffee shop, reminds me of one we used to go to on Brookside 25 years ago, I like that it features local artists pieces and there famous Chumpkin is my favorite most drink ever, it's my comfort drink!! Keep up the good work guys !!

The staff was friendly but I loved the environment even more.
Staff was amazing! Had some papers to work on and stoped in from 8pm to 10pm. Staff was very friendly. Dairy free options! Great atmosphere. Cool mugs. Nice plants and lighting. Cool music. And friendly atmosphere, even making a few friends before leaving.
(Visited on 09/12/2021)... My mom and I ate vegan pastries and washed them down with pumpkin spice chai tea. We both agree that this drink pleased the palette so much that we drank it rapidly. Adding more praise to this pumpkin spice chai tea, we also say that it tastes better than the same drink from Starbucks.Shades of Brown, keep spreading the fall season with your delicious drink and pastries.
