It is good to have another upscale restaurant in Tulsa. Prossimo offers something different with its uniquely Italian cuisine. There is nothing fast about Prossimo, and that is because you’ll want to take the time to enjoy what it has to offer. The hole in the wall atmosphere makes the service personable. It’s wine and drink menu is eclectic. The food was outstanding. Expect to spend some money. However, the menus items are reasonably priced given quality and freshness of the food - everything I ordered had to have been same day delivered. Needless to say, I will be returning to try other menu items. I might even challenge myself to the 7-course dining experience.
The halibut was phenomenal as was the caesar salad. The appetizer for tonight was calamari and had a nice selection of sauces. The grilled lemon was nice on top as well. My family got the table side alfredo and the cheese looked amazing. Would return
Fresh mozzarella with Himalayan salt
Looking for a lovely dining experience? Prossimo on Cherry Street has it all: VIP ambience, trained staff and expertly prepared Italian meals. Some are served with dramatic flair tableside: the fettuccine Alfredo in the hollowed out wheel of Parmesan …. or the warm mozzarella appetizer. — at Prossimo Ristorante.
Absolutely wonderful food. Very friendly staff.
One of the best Italian dinners I have had in quite a while. The service is outstanding, and the food is fresh. Where else can you get hand molded mozzarella at table side with fresh olive oil drizzled on top. The best was the fettuccini alfredo prepared in a parmsian wheel lit a fire with brandy, and then the pasta mixed in. A great dining experience.
The food and the service we're excellent. I had a really great time and they are definitely on the "impress my date" list.
I hate to say this but they have the worst fettuccine Alfredo I’ve ever had. Tastes like straight up Parmesan. No cream. It was inedible for me which is quite the bummer when it’s $24 a serving with no proteins. Service was also horribly slow and they kept repeatedly trying to serve us the couples food that was sitting next to us. At one point, the bartender serving us looked over and was like huh you still haven’t gotten your food? No clue how this place was so busy. Had high hopes but won’t be returning.
Their staff is incredible, and the homemade pasta is some of the best I've ever had.
Really great service for my birthday dinner tonight. Great drinks, and really unique and delicious food options. Great atmosphere. Prices are reasonable for the quality of food and service. You get what you pay for. Definitely a date night sort of place. Pictured is the halibut, but we also got the Caesar salad, grilled trumpet mushroom, and orecchiette.
