I had very high expectations going in, but left a bit disappointed. We buy their bbq sauce often from the grocery stores and thought we give them a try.We got the Carolina chicken sandwich, and the brisket and sausage plate with jalapeno hush puppies and coleslaw.The coleslaw was not good. I only took a few bite and couldn't do it anymore. I've had better slaw elsewhere. The hush puppies were okay and probably wouldn't get it again.The brisket were chopped up and a bit on the dry side, but too dry for my liking. The sausage was good, but definitely had better elsewhere.The Chicken sandwich was very dry and not spicy at all.3/5 because it isn't terrible, but wouldn't be my first choice for BBQ.
Great pork ribs.Sad, smothered, and soggy burnt ends.Loaded baked potato was so packed it fed us for a couple of meals. Bless you for that sour cream ratio.
The facilities were very clean and modern. They had ample choice seating between tables and booths. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our food came very fast not much of a wait. Now on to the food. I had ribs with onion rings and hush puppies. The ribs were good, they were obviously on warming light or oven. They had a couple of dry pieces and a few very tender. Even the dry pieces I could easily pull off without effort. The onion rings were very good they were a thick cut but not huge rings which was nice. The hush puppies were jalapeno hush puppies but they didn't seem to have much heat or a strong jalapeno flavor. They were very good, I am a hush puppy fan and always get them when I get the chance. They were better than long John's but not quite as good as Bubba Gump's.
I ordered the special, a rib dinner, the ribs came out and had obviously been reheated. They had zero flavor and one of them had the bone missing. The cole slaw tasted very sour and was deep brown. The only thing edible was the potato salad. Super disappointed after paying $27 for the meal plus a drink. I almost took the tray back and asked for a refund. Instead, I just left and left plenty of inedible food on the tray.
Not bad!My first visit and although not perfect was good enough to warrant another visit. Brisket sandwich a little dry and bland, and the BBQ sauce was sweet through out. Even the hot BBQ is just the sweet with added peppers.However for my side I got sweet potato fries and they were perfect. Taste, texture, everything. I'll be back for the fries alone!
One of the few BBQ joints you can get an order of Burnt Ends! Yum tender and tasty. Just walk in and walk up to the "cashier" and order. Self serve soft drinks, but full service bar. Get your number and in a few minutes, voila, delicious BBQ. Plenty of choice and you will not be disappointed in this award winning BBQ
Not your ordinary BBQ joint. Walk up ordering, self serve drinks, and then the staff delivers your mouth watering meal. We ordered the Grand Champion. Nothing disappointed. Everything was tasty and cooked to perfection. We’ll be back!
Delicious food, great price with fast service and friendly staff! All around great experience! Seems like restraunts are struggling to stay staffed with food prices going up all the time. Pleasantly surprised with this visit! Why can we have one of these in Kansas!?!
Loved the ribs. They're thick, juicy and tender with a nice smoky taste. The mac & cheese had an unusual flavor, very buttery. I don't see the appeal of the bbq chips at all; they're crunchy but nearly flavorless.The waitstaff is very sweet and the prices are reasonable for barbecue at the current meat rates. They also have a neat little shop with barbecue stuff.
If you don’t like BBQ then stay far away from this place, burnt ends are top notch big chunks of beef with the perfect amount of bark crusted with seasoning and the Carolina Style sandwich was a very heath portion of chopped brisket topped with slaw, both were amazing! The slaw was nice and crunchy which was great and they have a local Carolina Reaper spicy BBQ sauce that paired well with the meats. We moved here from Kansas City and this will be our #1 place for BBQ.
