Well darn!! We'd heard such great things. But, I guess we caught you on an off day. All salads were a disappointment. One had the dressing missing and all were missing the croutons. The dinner salad had chunks of lettuce that were bitter tasting. The lasagna was buried under too much sauce. On the upside, bruschetta was fantastic as was the sausage and chicken parmesan. Shrimp was rather chewy in the cargot sadly. For the money spent the product wasn't worth it.
We decided to try the new location of Mondo's on our anniversary. The new building is wonderful. The atmosphere felt cozy. We had great service and our food was delicious! The only complaint is that is was so loud because of the closeness of the tables that you had to constantly repeat yourself or yell at each other. Struggling to talk on your anniversary doesn't make for a romantic dinner.
I started going to Mondo's over 304 years ago. I'm so glad they are back. Their food is really good. Nice sized portions, awesome drinks from the bar, very nice selection of entrees to choose from. Highly recommend it. The seating is really tight and crowded tho. Nicely decorated with family pics throughout the years.
Mondo's was recommended by a local I met in the Waffle House in Owasso. He did NOT prep me for the awesomeness that this place is. He said it was good Italian, but completely under sold it.The portions are generous and full of flavor. Everything exudes a homemade taste with an upscale look and feel. The staff is very attentive. You can tell this place is great because on a Thursday it is packed to the gills. It is one of the best Italian places I have eaten outside of Italy.
Delicious seafood optionsEating at Mondo’s is always a treatOnly disappointment this time was the seating. We had reservations for a party of 6 & were seated at this booth which was tight & uncomfortable which is the reason for the 4star review.
Had lunch today, first time in their new location. Very very nice. The house salad could have been a meal in itself but we also had a pasta dish. Still great food and excellent service.
The best italian food in town. Good service and nice location. Lovely salad and bread. Had both pizza and pasta. Nice with all the family pictures.
Ridiculously bad service. The food is mediocre at best. This restaurant is trying to ride the coat tails if its former self. It was always just ok but now it’s just a joke. If you want good Italian food in Tulsa try Il Teme, Prossimo, or Villa Ravenna. If you want service and food similar to this restaurant, try Zio‘s. You’ll have a better experience with better service.
If you want great service and great food, DO NOT GO TO MONDO’S. It’s sad when Zio’s makes a better drink, has food with taste, and better customer service. My family is really disappointed because this used to be a decent restaurant. We will never go back. Villa Ravenna will be our go to if we want delicious food and kind staff.
This is our second visit to the new location, it has been great! Our waiter Aaron was terrific, he was very attentive and friendly but overbearing. The food was excellent, pasta pomodoro and the eggplant parmigiana. We love this place and will definitely be back!
