Steak had no flavor. No cocktail menu. Trout was disgusting. Spinach dip was good, bread was delicious, sides were great

Generally consistent and one of our favorites. Food quality and preparation was off on this visit. Crackers with soup were stale and breading on the fish was mushy and greasy. Service was attentive and solid. Weâll go back but not good value on this outing.

Hostess very friendly and courteous. Waitress very helpful, friendly and courteous. Food was prepared to our liking and very tasty. It was my wife's Birthday and everyone was aware of special day and washed her a Happy Birthday.
McGillâs is a long time favorite in Tulsa, with a few locations. We decided to go to the one on Yale at 61st for my wifeâs birthday dinner. We arrived at 7 oâclock and at the restaurant was not very busy at all. Our server was courteous friendly and very attentive. We started with mushroom caps which were absolutely divine. Best part of the meal. My wife had French onion soup which was above average. We split a wedge salad which was so-so, as the blue cheese dressing was very thin and runny. My wife had a filet steak which was quite good. I ordered the fried shrimp and asked the server if they could be âlightlyâ fried. Either my server did not ask him or the chef decided he knew better. My fried shrimp arrived over fried with a hard crunchy dark bound batter. I did my best to scrape off the crunchy batter and found the shrimp to be bland. It came with steamed vegetables which also were crunchy and in my opinion needed further steaming. It is difficult to find a restaurant that knows how to not overcook fried shrimp. Apparently McGillâs is no different. On a happier note the server brought out a personal crème brí»lée dish with a candle to celebrate my wifeâs birthday. I think McGells has great service and is great for lunch but I was disappointed in my meal.
THE place for business lunches or a quick cocktail hour after work. The food is excellent, fresh, well prepared and we always get EXPERT service!!
Their nightly special on Halibut was outstanding and our wonderful waitress, Kia treated us perfectly and was a special delight! Food quality remains excellent!
