You know, it might seem outwardly cheesy because of the route 66 / car schtick, but it truly is a great environment to dine in. Your locals, moms / pops, gramps / grams.... everyone is here! The food was amazing. The price was totally amazing. Our waiter appeared to be one of those that has been in the game for decades and she was amazing too.All around a solid visit.
The food was delicious, served hot and came out quickly. There's a great selection on the menu to choose from. Staff are friendly and attentive. I would eat there again.
Love this place. Want that iconic 1950's diner feel with today's modern large portions? Go to the 3rd street freeway location on Saturday (that's when we go) around 10 to noon and snap a photo with Tulsa's adorable firefighters. Several engines go each week so that should tell you how fantastic their food is. Endless hot coffee always fresh just when you need it. Do you have special dietary needs? They got you. Jacob is a great cook. I'm not supposed to eat bread but if it is cooked just short of burnt on the grill, than I can. Although I am sure it isn't easy for him to burn my rye toast he does it for me every Saturday. Ask where Dusty's section is, she has been waiting on us for 3 +years. She is wonderful, pleasant and remembers what we like, as does the other staff who see us.
I placed a to go order for Easter Dinner. They say their food is all homemade. I paid over $20 for a Coconut Cream pie for the family THINKING it was homemade but get it home and it was a nasty store bought pie ? The Tabouli was so dry and tasteless, such a shame as I bought 3 pints to throw out ! My family was disappointed and I waisted over $50 ☹️ won’t be recommending this place again
The food was great, the service was great and we were happy! First time trip, definitely will return. Loved it!
100% recommend! Wonderful place to eat. Fast, friendly service and price is excellent! Whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner we've always gotten great food.
it was my first time eating at this diner. My family and I love the food, and the service was very good. They really accommodated us very well. We stay closer to the East 3rd location, and et's just say God performed a miracle. My sister and I both had our grandkids with us, and my son was with us as well. The platters of food was just awesome, and everything was cooked very well. This is where the miracle comes in, someone blessed us. As I was getting ready to go pay the bill, the young woman at the register at the counter, said your bill has already been paid. It was so much joy, and a lot of tears. it's hard for me to accept a blessing, because I like to give blessings. I just want to say thank you to all the staff, and the employees who worked hard that day. I know you work hard everyday, but you never know what someone is going through. When others take the time out to show love, and concern, and just give you a little piece of joy, and a blessing that's the most important thing. Freeway diner has a new customer for life. I was supposed to write this post long time ago, but we've been under the weather. but our family experience was a Godsend. Thank you freeway diner. many more blessings and joy I hope will come to your establishment.
