First time coming here. There is a store part with candy, clothes, gifts for all ages. The restaurant part is decorated in an old fashioned farmer style. For instance, a yoke was mounted above the entrance and there's old photos and signs mounted as well. I ordered the Wednesday special, chicken stuffed with broccoli, and loaded hashbrowns for the side. It was tasty. One of my kids ordered fried shrimp with mac-n-cheese for a side. He liked it a lot. My other child ordered grilled cheese with applesauce for the side. The applesauce was pre-packaged and he ate it before I took a picture. He didn't care for the grilled cheese. (He's probably use to the way I make them and I use cheddar not American) He also got Root beer for the drink and I'm very pleased that it was made with real sugar. One ordered lemonade and I ordered an iced mocha coffee. The iced mocha coffee was bitter until I mixed the whipped cream into it. Then it tasted great. When I got the bill there was an option to scan and pay so that was super convenient. Can't wait to go again.
Edited: Normally we have great service.I have never complained about service but our waiter was so awful. We had to repeatedly ask for stuff. Jelly we asked for with biscuits when they took our drink order came after we had finished our dinner! Never once asked or came by with drinks. Then we asked for boxes and never got them so I went to the manager and head said about our waiter Bullet that is amazing and didn't really listen to what I said instead was like oh he is great. That was not helpful. We left a small tip because I'm not a jerk but I feel like we shouldn't have. 05/21/22
Such a sweet country vibe. It was comfortable and was excited to see the fireplace going. I told my 2 yr old if he was good then I'd take him by the fireplace on our way out. Well, apparently the fire turns off at 9:35. I watched the manager turn it off as we waited for our check. Other than that, I got what I always ordered and it's good every time I come here. I love the shop too and almost everything it has to offer!
Understaffed and underwhelming. Wait staff didn’t know the menu and weren’t attentive, but it seemed like they had not been trained. A friend and I both ordered a Sunrise Sampler and when brought out they had us share a bowl of gravy. Had to ask for the butter and jam that came with the biscuits. Wait staff said they were only allowed to bring one 2oz cup of apple butter for the table.All food tasted bland and tough, like it’d been microwaved and then set under a heat lamp for 20 minutes.Seems like corporate is forcing stores to underserve portions and won’t pay enough to keep trained staff. This is failure is on them.
Didn't seem to be all that busy meaning there was alot of empty tables yet getting our food longer than expected. Our food was a bit on the not so freshly done side. My daughter and I ordered pancakes and cutting them up into bites size portions was not so smooth like it should have been if you get my drift.
Taking Great Granddaughter out for lunch and a movie. She wanted "Mac & Cheese"! She had never been to a Cracker Barrel. When she dove into the Mac & Cheese watching her I asked "well, how is it" her 6 year old response "I think I've died and gone to heaven"! That's why we go to Cracker Barrel. The food and the service are always exceptional!
We were seated two other tables seated after us by 5 to 10 minutes. They ordered before us they only filled coffee 1 time in our 45 minutes at this restaurant.Sad for sure........Pay attention to ALL. Your customers.My tip is you fill my cup you get tipped.You ignore me No tip.Very disappointed
Service & food were great! Most impressed by all the ladies in the store front this morning! We were looking at the squishmallows and they made sure we got ones we wanted/were looking for. Such a small act of great customer service made my day
