Last week, my wife was scheduled for pretty serious surgery. Our " lunch out" trips would be over for a month or so. I asked where she wanted to go for lunch, the day prior to surgery. Charlies Chicken on Garnett was her reply. Good choice!
Charlies Chicken is a fast-food restaurant that serves actual meals instead of the usual fare. They have what I would call ‘home cooking’ foods. Things like meatloaf, chicken fried steak, chicken strips & livers. They also have a great selection of side dishes to complement your main dish.The corn dodgers, deep fried nuggets of corn, are to die for.Charlies has deep fried chicken livers that are, in my opinion, the best thing on the menu.I have never really liked livers until I tried these. They are rich & juicy, with just the right amount of breading & spices.Whatever you order at Charlies you will not be disappointed. I love everything except the gizzards. That is where I draw the line. Lastly, I need to tell you about the rolls. They are absolutely the best rolls you can get anywhere. If there are better ones, I haven't tried them yet.
I stop by there probably around 8:30 or 840 before they close I ordered a double chicken fried steak dinner it was awful the chicken fried steak taste like it was old and dry out.. The employees at the drive-through was nice and professional and polite
Went today (after saying I’d NEVER go again! still upset with the order and service I recieved last time — but I have kids and they love Charlie’s)So I order, certain things I ordered were made to order, so they weren’t going to be ready and told me the wait would be 20 minutes. I didn’t have that wait time so I politely asked to switch to something that was already hot and fresh which were chunks. So I get to the window and pay, and a lady came to the window took my money, then she told me one item ordered would be a twenty minute wait. Ok but I had just explained that I couldn’t wait. And at this point I’d already paid. Anyway long story, short — I asked the gentleman at the window what his name was, he replied.. I asked him the managers name. He replied with the same name. I told him about my previous experience and then told him how unhappy I was today… he batted his lashes at me, shrugged his shoulders and said ok bye and shut the window in my face. I’m baffled at the customer service at this location, so much I drive 10 miles out of my way to the Charlie’s a town over. PLEASE CLEAN THIS PLACE UP, CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EVERYTHING!!
I went through the drive-thru today and Order day 3 chunk dinner but what I receive look more like a child's chicken nugget meal.
I placed a large order for myself and coworkers inside the Tulsa Garnett location today and every single employee in there was AMAZING. They were smiling, and talking to their customers, they knew the regulars by name. They truly looked like they were enjoying their shift and they were so kind and efficient with my large order! Even the lady I believe is the manager jumped in and helped with my order so they didn't get behind. They all deserve some kind of acknowledgement as their amazing personalities made my day better too!
Been coming to this Charlie’s chicken for a while now and I love it! The crew is super friendly and make you feel very welcomed ❤️ I brought my dog through the drive through tonight and they gave him some little goodies ❤️ Very sweet people they are such kind souls! I would definitely recommend stopping by!! (Remember to always be nice and patient with the crew, everything is fresh and yummy ?)
Food was cold and the large Mac n cheese ordered was so runny that they should have called it Mac n chz soup, would suggest not testing the food here unless you wanna waste money and have to go somewhere else
I pick up food deliveries from this Charlie's Chicken and I love the crew there. Always vibing, super efficient, super friendly. They make me wanna come right back every time and order some food for myself. ☺️?Whatever y'all are doing keep it up!!! Wishing nothing but the best for this team. Stopped here with our family on the way to visit more family back in Tulsa up to Kansas from FLA. Happened to be Monday fish special. The guy at the counter went out of the way to make recommendations on what to get for the family(not sure if he was owner?) We had catfish and chicken chunks both were amazing! Catfish was EXACTLY how ILike it.... fried with seasoned CORN MEAL-- NOT FLOUR. OMG and the cornbread and rolls LORD... they were both some of the best breads I've had in a while and the cornbread tasted home made. Truly though.... the service was outstanding. They were all pleasant,and very attentive to our small children as well. You can tell all the employees take pride in the experience. Go head and stop.... you won't regret it!
