Only because 0 stars isn't an option! Almost $18 for lunch (no drink). Waited over 20 minutes for barely mediocre food and very little of it! I won't be back, ever.
It's way nice and I get to run an to a friend from school he is their manager there and it seems like his crew likes him so it's definitely a good vibe and good place to eat at
I ordered a sandwich and 2 baked potatoes for dinner to go. The potatoes had a lot of rotten spots and several large gashes with dirt inside. These potatoes should not have been used. Half of the potatoes had to be trashed. Teach employees to have some common sense and don't serve rotten food to customers.The bbq sauce containers were empty because they had leaked so we only had 1 HOT container that did not leak. We don't eat HOT bbq sauce.The butter, sour cream and cheese was put on top of the hot potato, so the cheese was one large melted blob and the sour cream had curdled into lumps. For some reason, the brisket was put in a container. The butter, cheese and sour cream should have been in separate containers instead. The potatoes have to reheated a longer time than the cheese, and the sour cream should not be reheated at all.The food tasted good, but we lost half of the potatoes. However, no matter how good the food tastes, the packaging is extremely important for to go orders. NEVER put butter, cheese, and sour cream on the hot potatoes.The bag leaked, and now I have melted butter and bbq sauce on my car's cloth seats. It is very difficult to get oily butter out of cloth, and bbq sauce leaves a red stain. This stop at Billy Sim's has cost me a lot of money to get my car seats cleaned. I hope the car detail company can get the sauce and grease stains out.
Ate there the evening of 6/10/22 with a friend. Both of us ate pulled pork sandwiches and were gassy and bloated with nasty diahrrea by the following morning. I had no known exposure to anyone with a stomach virus and am not aware of one currently going around. I typically eat only one meal a day - and my last meal had been lunch the previous day (which I prepared at home). Have to conclude that I got food poisoning from my meal at Billy Sims. Have been miserable. Really resent that this has interfered with vacation and travel plans. Will not be returning. Five days in and neither I nor my friend are fully recovered from the tainted food served. Billy Sims BBQ is dead to me. NEVER again.
So today me and my girlfriend decided to have lunch at Billy Sims. And let me tell you it probably one of my best meals eating out in a long time. Not only was the food on point to the T. Staff was great I believe his name was Waylon who waited on us personality was great I swear I knew this guy my whole life I wanted to invite the guy to my wedding after. But he was great person to have over there not to over bearing but also not shy away from introducing himself. To the point where I typically always go for the same thing creature of habit. And he got me to go out of my comfort zone and try the most delicious spare Ribs I've ever had that be honest. He wasnt aggressive he was so friendly I had to try them. But yes from me and my fiance thank you guys and Waylon over there at Billy Sims on 51st and Sheridan. You guys now got 2 new customers for life. And if Waylon sees this man thank you for an awesome experience and being such a friendly guy. 5star all aroundBathroom✔️Food✔️Service✔️Clean✔️Overall✔️
I highly recommend this location if you have celiac or are gluten intolerant. They are very accommodating and knowledgeable. I have celiac and didn’t get sick after eating there.
My first time at Billy Sims and so glad I went as my server/manager Waylon was amazing. He was informative of the menu and knowledgeable of the back story of the restaurant. He made my visit one to remember I will definitely be back.
Best food in town!!! Great management!! Very clean, had food in very timely matter every visit. We leave even better then when we got there!! Really love this location.
Went here today and was quite pleased with the experience. The restaurant was very clean and spacious, a nice atmosphere. Staff was friendly and courteous. The food came out hot in legit about 30 seconds after we ordered. The bbq was dam tasty and cooked well, had a nice mix of tender meat with some good crispy bark on it. The baked beans and toast weren’t the best I ever had but still an acceptable quality. The pickle was better than expected, had a nice crunch to it, not too salty — just right. Will definitely be coming back!
They were fabulous! Had a 5 star experience with the staff AND the food. Our order was out honestly in about a minute and it was delicious. The ambiance is also really laid back and fun. The prices are great and so is the quality! I will be coming back, and I highly recommend this place!
