I ordered food, and they told me 1 price and when they got here said another price and the food was horrible it wasn’t fresh! Tasted like it had been sitting for hours
Went to Asian Star on 101st and Mingo. Family of four for $45.00 not bad for the amount of food we got! A lot of food even though we got the regular portion, not large. Got beef and broccoli with an eggroll and side of fried rice with a fountain drink. Family members got Orange chicken, sesame chicken, and General Tso chicken with sides of lo mein. Everyone liked their meal. Normally we go to China One but wanted to try something different.
I thought the egg rolls were mushy. General Tso’s and the sesame chicken were sicky sweet. Dumplings were okay.
This place has it all. Which is usually not a good thing. Big menus often mean quality suffers. Even more so when the menu has many different cuisines to choose from.I ordered quite a bit so that I could try a bit of everything. I was pleasantly impressed with almost everything we tried.The General Tso's is some of the best tasting I've had from most takeouts, and while it wasn't crispy on the outside, it wasn't complete mush. I won't hold that against them since I ordered it takeout. Solid flavor and great sauce though. 7/10The Kung Pao chicken had great flavor and quality, too. 8/10The bourbon chicken was alright. It wasn't the mall food court bourbon chicken we all remember from our childhood and crave (or maybe that's just me), but it was better than most imitators' around town. Good flavor just not what I'm looking for in bourbon. 6/10Yellow curry was a huge star. I was super surprised at how amazing this was coming from a place that is predominantly American Chinese food. It had this unctuous deliciousness that is hard to describe with perfect curry flavor.The hot and sour soup was not the best I've had, but probably the second best I've had. And I try every hot and sour soup I come across. It was so good that I'm sitting here absolutely stuffed and still considering getting it out the fridge and finishing it now ??Egg rolls - good flavor, but smaller and not super crisp. Again, could've been due to travel 4/10Beef cho cho - ok flavor, pretty dry 2/10Cheese wontons - large and they did not skimp on the cream cheese filling!! Also had crab stick mixed in. Great flavor and not greasy/heavy 9/10Lo mein - average, nothing special here 5/10I don't have pictures because I didn't think about it and wasn't expecting to like it so much. So there.Go try this place so they can stay open and I can benefit.
We eat here often. Fresh Asian cuisine. The food is great. The owners are amazing people.
Ok im jus goin to keep it real.... im a fat boy and im very picky when it comes to my food!!!!! Yesterday was the first time ive ever ate here and let me jus say, i had to order again today !!! Best chinese food ive had in the United States....Im a truck driver, so i stop by restuarants from coast to coast.... portions were huge and the quality was 5 star!!!! Highly recommend This place for sure....
They always take great care of my orders, and I'm guaranteed a good meal. My favorite dish is the extra spicy Singapore noodles!
Almost every time we come here it’s amazing! Best Chinese around.. seriously everywhere else sucks!! ❤️
How can they give five stars? Impossible! Okay, I ordered this restaurant via the dashdoor app in around 20 minutes. I received our orders of food... Pretty disappointed.Look at me, I'm literally an Asian, and I always demand to eat steamed rice within various meats or chicken. It is my Asian culture. So, the chicken wasn't depth taste of flavors, nothing... I knew that my mother cooked homemade. I don't know, I guess another is the same as these foods due to taste differences. Steamed rice? HORRIBLE SMELL!!! I smelled a horrible odor from the steamed rice in the box, like rotten and like weird something in the taste. I tossed it away, instead I cooked my own rice.I will probably not order this restaurant again, again, again!
Lo mein was okay but man was it the worst chicken I've had like general tsos was terrible
