I'm a big fan of McAllister's but the one in Shawnee is hit or miss. More miss than hit. They brought me the wrong sandwich so I take it to the counter and tell the young lady. She says I need to take it to the "serve side". She can't just take care if it? No one was in line or waiting. I ho around the corner and tell them what i ordered and gave my plate. My sandwich comes out and it's wrong AGAIN so I just eat it. Get an adt to supervisor these kids. As I'm eating another customer got the wrong sandwich. SMDH
Went on the 24th of May to eat dinner, we ordered our sandwiches salads and a soup. The other for times was a alright experience; except on this day. After we ordered we sat at one of the few clean tables. The staff wasn't doing what they were hired to do in any of the departments. Dining area had dirty tables that wasn't being cleared off or wiped off, floor was nasty. For having very few customers I feel they could've been cleaning the dining area, but instead a young girl around highschool age was flirting and talking to a young guy that looked like he was working kitchen area, neither doing what they were getting paid to do. Found that unprofessional and insult to owners of company. Then when our food came out the sandwiches had no condiments on them, no vegetables, and was cold when they should've been at minimum only warm. They brought a full dinner salad out (which we never ordered) when we ordered a little side salad that comes in a small bowl. This experience has me not wanting to go back. McAlister's my advice is to make sure the staff you hire don't have high estrogen and testosterone issues and make sure they're not lazy and know how to do their job you hired them to do and definitely make sure they're not more worried about being on the cell phones. I refused to use the restroom after seeing a dirty and nasty dining area so I can't give an honest review on that part just guessing it was just as bad.
I don’t usually like to make bad reviews as I have been a server myself and know that there may always be problems you don’t know of. However, when I ordered my sandwich, side, and drink around 1:18, I was told to be there for my food at 1:28, and they didn’t hand me my food till 1:57. This would have been fine, but I had to rush to work afterwards (which was right down the road) and wasn’t able to check my food until I got there. My sandwich was made wrong, which usually happens. I still like the sandwich, and I don’t mind fixing it according to how I originally wanted it. I just wish I didn’t have to after having to wait that long for a relatively small order. Again, food is always good, just usually not made right.
ordered chef salads, lettuce was turning brown, croutons were really soft, no crunch at all. the whole thing was room temperature. the salad itself tasted like it had been made several days ago and just sitting waiting on an order. this is the second time in 3 months I have been very disappointed with this McAlister.
First time Dining in and absolutely LOVED THE VEGGIE SPUD POTATOE. WILL DEFINATLY BE BACK..
Great service and excellent deli sandwiches. Our lunch arrived at the table almost soon as we sat down.
UPDATE: Management issued a credit to my account for the mistakes. I am adjusting my rating based on the fact that this was made right, and I appreciate this effort. Thank you.I ordered a garden salad on the app with honey mustard dressing to pick up through the drive-through. They gave me ranch dressing instead and no croutons. I can handle no croutons, but not the ranch dressing. I didn't have time to go back as I picked it up on the way to work. I tried it with the ranch, couldn't stand it, went straight in the trash. No dinner for me that night. I would go back, but I would never do the drive-through again. I'll go in and order to avoid this mistake. I did call and complain. The girl I spoke to said she would have her manager refund my money. That was yesterday, no refund yet. We'll see...
Was there for a fundraiser I forgot to mention it. So I came back to get fixed. Which eventually turned into refunding and reordering. But was about to end with that's fine. But the manager got involved and her initial response was "you should have said something when you ordered" among other gems like its too much work just for your 20%. I realize there's a shortage of workers and I should have mentioned it up front. But her attitude escalated the situation she needs more training.
I always order the potato soup and I usually call it in to pick it up to go. Now I will dine in because the staff was very accommodating and it seemed like you get a larger portion of soup.
Love McAlister's food. They have great selection of a healthier variety than most places. And there soupd are the best! We eat there quite a bit, and their potato, broccoli cheese, and chicken tortilla soups are the best in town.
