The food is authentic, and I love that. Even though they have great salsa we got a bad batch, but it was fine the next time. (Being authentic that stuff happens from time to time). Anyone that loves real homemade Mexican style food will love this place! It's not tex-mex, (On the Border type food.)My employer bought, as a special treat, lunch for us and the food was perfect, the salsa was so tasty, and the cheese sauce was exactly the way I like it!
Not the worst Mex I've ever had, but close to it. They were way understaffed so service was slow but also lousy. No refills and asking for water was like a chore for them. The Queso was completely bland and chicken was chewy. The salsa was 50/50 because when they brought out two cups of it, one was hot and the other cold. Wasn't worth the money and I will not be back. Sorry to those involved.
Really excellent, excellent food, very attentive service, relatively inexpensive. Food is just out of this world delicious! I can’t wait to come again!
Excellent Tex Mex in Shawnee. The Monterrey chicken was well marinated and slathered with plenty of Monterrey Jack cheese. The rice was well seasoned and just straight delicious. The sopapilla was ok. Also impressive was that each person also got an individual salsa and queso with the chips at the beginning of the meal. Would highly recommend.
Stopped here for lunch on my way back to Norman. The service was very attentive and the food was good. They have their own unique flavors which I found enjoyable. I ordered the chicken enchilada and street taco. Taco consisted of chopped beef and the enchilada with cream sauce was a very good size. Beans and rice were both very good.
This is my GO TO Mexican restaurant. They have Pepsi products & season the meat. I love the carna asada street tacos. The service is great. I'd hire the employees. They are hard workers and I appreciate them! Sometimes they don't have enough staff but they still do the best they can. They run their butts off helping customers & are polite. I've never had a server with an attitude. I've been eating here exclusively since they opened at the old location. During lunch this place is packed. I order to go & it's ready in 15 min. They have never messed up my order in the 10+ years I've ate here. I tip them well because the service is great. If someone had an issue with service they were taken care of & treated well. Some of the customers are @55holes & need to check their attitude at the door. The building is older but clean & I feel safe eating here. I'm legit OCD and if I feel things are cleaned appropriately, they are.
Great Al Pastor tacos and friendly service. We enjoyed it. Tamales were really good too.
I honestly don't think there is anything on the menu here that is bad. We have been eating at Don Ciro's since it was a food truck.
Great food! They were a little over booked & couldn't seem to get the orders out correctly today. But could have just been an off day we all have them. Love this place irregardless...❤
